I love how subtly they teased her affection towards him: the fact that the first thing she recalls off the top of her head about him is the women close to him, how his kind words in the letter immediately reminds her of the charity event, and just the overall playful, jabbing banter that you only see between close friends. But they never make it obvious nor force it to develop into anything, they instead reinforce their weird, "hostile-in-a-friendly-way" honesty and connection that they have. Excellent directing, love it when the bonds feel genuine and organic.

That's like the 5th reason she would fire him, he is clearly a great assistant and could keep things professional. The reason she fired him is because she knows he is being over worked by her, caged by her and dominated by her. She knows he won't leave on his own because she is the King. The man is struggling to get a serious relationship and now that he found one, so she set him free. They love each other, but it is more complicated than that. It's a love closer to a Master and a Pet. She realized he is not a pet, but a human.

Just so you know, I read this comment off of Ciel Phantomhive and he didn't get enough attention and hopefully this comment does: Teddy was happy because in his job he spent 11 hours working for Shilo as her assistant, and the boss would do whatever she pleased and was a workaholic. He knew everything about his boss but she didn't bother to know anything about him or give him space to develop his relationship with Kate, so he was unhappy. In the description it says: "For a brief vulnerable moment, she opens up an old wound from her past -- about the man she could never win the affections of. She shows she wasn't always a cynical pragmatist -- that she once felt some heartache, as well. They quickly exchange gifts, in a small show of sacrifice, and mull over the co-dependency they've come to rely on each other for. Then, they both agree to make a change." Which means that by being fired he can now have a different job where he wont feel caged down, and will give him enough time to be with himself and Kate.
@darkangels88847 жыл бұрын

I do think she wanted him, but not in a romantic sense. Being the stoic she is, she wouldn't ever say it out loud, but she was aware of the ease and comfort she found in him. She wanted him as a true friend, the idea completely different from romance but far closer, emotionally. She looked up to the life he had made, knowing she could never have that. She knew she'd have to lay on the middle of the bed. Quite frankly, i do think that he reciprocated the same, the Gelato cake might have melted away, but he still had the heartfelt wishes on on him. ❤️❤️ My heart goes out to everyone associated with the project. Loved it.!!

Well, it's the laugh his girlfriend had when he made her laugh so much and so hard that she lost her breath and couldn't stop laughing, and it's one of the biggest things he cherished about her. So I don't know why you feel ashamed for him having that laugh, since it's not even his.

These two, combined, sound an awful lot like the ongoing internal dialogue that follows me around in my head. Cognitive dissonance is my constant companion, so I'm forever "bullying, then cowering before, then standing up to myself." So yeah...I really related to this. The bit, towards the end, about the miracle of her simply existing...the "millions of sperm cells" and all that, was a bit overly mushy for my taste, but over all...well done, Omeleto.
