OMG! Cash in Trash! $100 on first pile, PC Scores, Curbside Street Scrap Picking

Street scrapping started of with a bang today, $100 in cash straight up, Computer frenzy in one street, lot's of copper wire and an overall awesome day trash picking.
I scrapped out the cash box and there was some coins but no more notes, total was $101.30.
The other cash box I found later had nothing at all.

Everytime I Here you cut the cables I’m just hearing ChaChing ChaChing. Honestly Ben people just don’t realise the stuff they throw away half the time i recon. I would loooove to melt all that down . But seriously who throws out a cash draw with money in it 😳. I would have been as excited as hell . Great find . I’m going to the pub🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I watched it a few times and showed that part to a couple of friends and it was because of how excited Ben got and the comment going to the pub. Made me laugh and smile. I've seen Ben find treasures before and he gets excited and his happy is contagious. And just like this. Ben's videos are stellar!

My theory on the cash -- a lot of clerks put large bills underneath the cash tray. Whoever threw out the box cleaned out the tray but didn't look under.

I started to do without asking my wife's "permission" ! We've been married for a long time so I thought extra money, she's going to be happy right? Fast forward 8 months 70% of our yard is full of an assortment of metals. She went CRAZY and went away for a couple of weeks!!!! It really opened my eyes to have a plan, talk about it. Especially if it's going to have an effect on her life too! I am now in process of building a couple of bins to keep things out of site. Also my BIG passion is ewaste and I started picking up stoves and refrigerators too. I'm now just doing ewaste and smaller items like cords and auto cast or brake rotors. Just thought I'd share my situation with you.

Shane York ok cool matey , if you see any of my vids I get my scrap and I melt it down and make what I think is cool castings . I’m more the hoarder type as I never ever take my stuff to the scrapyard but I do love to collect it. I saw a microwave the other day and went ooohh Copper, the missis just shook her head 🤣. Although she is impressed wen she sees my vids and what I’ve made them from so that’s good😁👍🏻.

Thanks for responding. I didn't expect that! I'll take look at your vids. I expect I would just type in your name on KZfaq? I actually have everything I need to start melting aluminum & lead right now. All I would need to do copper and brass is plaster of paris and some mesh (and strong crucible) to line the sides of my propane tank which has the top cut for the lid and a 2" diameter hole for air circulation for air with charcoal/wood or for propane when I would upgrade for copper. I lost my last pair of good cutters too so now just use old pliers I found in the trash. They work fine and I don't have to stress about losing them

Ha ha great find! Once you found the 100 dollars I wanted you to find loose notes in every pile. Wishful thinking I suppose. You certainly sounded happy after that find. I look for lost money wherever I go and average around £100/year. The most I found in 1 day was on Christmas Eve 2007 when I found over £56 total.

Awesome 👏 I had only ever found coins until one day I grabbed a whole bag of paper items to sort through at home and found $300, $50 note in 6 birthday cards. That's a lot of money for me, I couldn't believe it. Nice to have a little win occasionally. It's a hard slog day to day. Anyway, nice one 👍

Good find ben I was scrapping in Florida one time they did spring cleaning thrownout old stuff shoes purses I took one along with other good stuff I never stick my hand in them the next day I got to it I tip it over on my truck bed over 30 dollars in singles came out and a gold ring worth over 300.00 Always found money when they clean out

I inadvertently cut the top of my thumb off during some table saw shinanigans hahaha but it was a good day none the less - not as good as yours though, I haven't seen you pull in that many pc's from a street scrap for a while it was a beautiful thing, like a posh mcdonalds, or a 10 kg salamander :P great vid as always dude keep the scrapping steady and true!

Also make sure you check underneath each sofa or chair that has the knitting on the the underside of it you find money and other good things that way I found $200 US dollars. In just one sofa
