“Zenitsu sleeps” Expected everything but this. Literally thought that he'd just sleep through the entire episode when he passed out. And the voice actor is unbelievably good. Initially, the character is a bit annoying but later you'd give anything for the humour in this dark theme. Keep up the good work!

I already like Zenitsu's character before this moment but this two sides in him is really great. I love the contrast, his backstory and everything of him. There's no character in demon slayer that gave me that much chills from the entire series.

I think you're actually misunderstanding the flashback to MJ visiting this demon. The demon had already been given MJs blood when he became one of the 12 moons. What the flashback showed was MJ coming back and removing him from being one of the 12 for not being strong enough because the demon had reached its limit. The demon wanted more of MJs blood in order to be more powerful but thats not how MJ does things, he doesn't make the weak stronger he roots them out and makes the already strong stronger. This demon is obsessed with reclaiming his spot as one of the 12 moons which is why he wanted to eat the kid with the rare blood.

I'm sure y'all known by now- but Zenitsu doesn't have an alter ego. He just passes out from his fear- and he goes into a dream where he's actually capable. He can hear what's happening outside said dream- and thinks the battle is his dream. Passing out takes away any doubt in himself because he's acting like a hero in his dreams haha. Zenitsu is a great character. I love him so much. I relate to his self confidence issues and don't think very highly of myself- but Zenitsu makes me happy haha. I'm also a huge simp for fictional men and women sooo- Particularly Rengoku Kyojurou. :]

This demon was Lower Six of the 12 Kizuki. They're split into Upper and Lower ranks. Lower Six is essentially the weakest of the 12. The MJ scene, the demon was already infused with MJ's blood but he had reached his limit with it so MJ kicked him out of the 12. He's now trying to gain more power by eating the marechi kid to reclaim his spot.

One of the best reactions I have ever seen. When Zenitsu pops it's so satisfying to watch, each and every time. I always rewind that scene alone several times each time I watch this episode. Don't get me wrong, his normal demeanor gets on my nerves all the time, but it all pays off whenever he gets dead (pun intended) serious. This episode reveals something crazy that I think everyone is sleeping on -- humans can use demon powers. The little boy with the demon's drum is able to use the powers of the drum just by hitting it like the demon did. No training, no demon blood infusion, nothing. So theoretically demon slayers could harvest demons for parts of their bodies and use them as tools or weapons.
