The first semi guardian fight feels like karen vs kelly 😅 she was suddenly comically evil 😂

Agree with you. Super Heroes need to deal with the Super Threat and the public/private sector takes up the care and rebuild (unfortunately they don’t do so in the areas of need).

Kelly's new outfit as Guardian looks good, also this episode was better than last week's episode.

The only part of the eps. I don't get was the Councilwoman getting 5th dimensional powers...that was weird. And I do think the eps. showed how people can be focused so much on the bigger problems, that they ignore the smaller ones in front of them. Also, first Luke and now Kelly. Diggle is becoming quite the mentor. Plus, Kelly's debut as Guardian was EXCELLENT!

True, but this is immediately after the attack and it makes complete sense for them to be on high alert for her or even more people get hurt. Maybe if they split up the team a little but the writers wanted it this way. Just wish they had a better reason to initiate the education of the team. That's just my biggest gripe with the episode, everything else was great.

@@Omn1Media The thing is, they were ignoring actual people who were in the process of dying, to potentially protect hypothetical people who might die down the line. It was bad tirage on their part. I get that stopping Nxly stops future potential problems, I just don't think that's a good enough reason to ignore current ones that turned out to be relatively easily fixable.

It's a sensitive issue, like Kelly said, everyone brings their biases into it. But like, they had been searching for Nxly for days unsuccessfully, but when they pivoted focus they saved at least dozens of people in like 10 minutes.

I'm glad Supergirl is having it's final season. Nothing makes sense or is realistic in this episode and sometimes on the edge of being stupid. I get their thought process (with racial stuff and hero stuff) but it has to be build up and make real sense. It takes me out of the show and i'm just thinking what!? what did i just hear. The written forces me to stop watching and pick up my phone instead because it's painfully. If you wanna take up the racial stuff do it like they did in Smallville or Arrow, it has to be natural and not be forced in a unnatural way that doesn't make any sense.

5:50 When Lena said 'Ignis', it reminds me of John Constantine from Legends of Tomorrow saying that word before to perform a magic. And then she received a magic book is it? Is she gonna become a witch just like her Mom? And then she will be more useful with the Superfriends team. If that happens, that would be cool.

This episode was one of the worst IMHO. Kelly said she wanted to be a hero for "the people that look like her." She then attacked Kara for ignoring those people because Kara was focused on trying to help everyone, as you mentioned. That kind of bigotry and ignorance was exemplified by Kelly having the books "White Fragility" and one by Ta-nehisi Coates on her coffee table (their insertion clearly highlighted the message of the episode). Guardian's line should have been "I'm a hero for everyone, NOT just the people that look like me", and the show could have showcased at least some poor white people in the building too, instead of making it all about a leftist political view/opinion on racism, with non-white victims being attacked by a corrupt white woman on the city council. A true hero should be for everyone, not focused on just helping "people that look like" the hero. Imagine if Supergirl saved a falling white person and let a non-white one plummet to their death? What if her excuse for doing that was Kelly's line: "I'm a hero for the people that look like me." If that happened (and it never would, of course), Supergirl would be called a horrible racist and definitely not a real hero at all. Sad how the left-wing cultural rot has infected this show.

This show used to be one of my favorites. With the direction it’s gone, it’s very hard to get through an episode. I end up not paying attention half the time. I just want to know how it ends. I’m sick of shows shoving the leftist agenda down my throat

Unfortunately, loved this show before but it's harder to watch. Sloppy writing, stuff happens that doesn't make sense but people just read the lines even if that doesn't fit with the character.

i know right? So Nixly just took a break while they redirect their efforts. Yes there is oversight, but to hammer the blame on Supergirl and the others and making them feel guilty for the oversight seems awkward. And considering Kara suffered a lot being sent to the phantom zone and seems hasn't fully recovered yet, then you just inject this to make her feel even more guilty and blame herself, I think that's just off

I agree with you had the previous episode sprinkled in some of Kelly's frustration and this is the episode where we saw her point of view it would have hit better but as it is it's just okay. That is the only major gripe I have everything else is done really good.

This episode was ok at first when I saw Kelly try to be Guardian or use the Shield in the crisis episode if I'm correct there was a time when she did use the Shield but at first I didn't really think she would be a good guardian but this episode change my mind I am interested to see what happens with her character now and how she carries on as Guardian but issue I had with the episode is Supergirl is literally trying to track a 5th dimensional being who is the danger to everyone and Kelly is trying to ground supergirl's problems to something that while is important doesn't necessarily endanger the planet it's like asking the army to assist with preventing a shop robbery while being in the middle of a world war if Kelly wants to make a difference that's fantastic but if you're dealing with a city or even planetary wide threat are you really going to put that on hold to help a bunch of people coughing in a hospital when the councilwoman was actually endangering people it makes sense for Supergirl to intervene that her skill-set I can't believe she had to have that talk from Kelly it's like she is literally dealing with a 5th dimensional being who can literally warp reality and she's asking her to put that on hold if I was Supergirl I would say find someone who can prioritise their time might as well lecture her for not feeding the homeless because Supergirl while now empathetic to Kelly isn't being empathetic to homeless people she needs to put her planetary threats aside to feed the poor also do charity work if it was a different character instead of Supergirl in a different situation it might have worked but it just felt forced for the sake of the plot and definitely came out of nowhere and the council woman's hole motive for destroying the city was irrational and didn't make sense I would almost compare her to a flash villain 😂 although I can prayers Supergirl on one thing the flash failed to do it's entire season have civilians for Supergirl to protect and rescue there was none of that on the Flash and that definitely hurt the quality so I'm glad Supergirl and the other arrowverse shows are able to pull that off still

Finally someone with some sense. They wanted to do stuff but it has to make sense from a character and realistic standpoint. Half of the episode doesn't make any sense, Supergirl can't be everywhere she is one of the only one that can stop 5th dimensional being.
