@@hydrosmusic exactly why I mentioned the Gravemind. It makes the most sense and it was my first thought when she was talking about the monsters. No matter how much they’re not following the games…the Flood are too big of an event in the universe to not go down that storyline. I’m really hoping they’re setting that up for Season 3 (I’m also hoping this seasons good enough to make me give a fuck about a 3rd season..cause after 1 I almost ignored this one)

@@Just_Some_Clown I'm just concerned with how they're gonna deal with the effectiveness/dangerousness of the flood against Chief's current armor in the show. Looks like he's already in Mark VI GEN3 when in the games and book he was in Mark V

@@Just_Some_Clown just worried about the power scaling for down the line. Like, are they going to give him Mark VII immediately after the “Combat Evolved” part? In the beginning of Halo 2, his Mark V was pretty much falling apart

So I don’t have a problem with season 1, & understand why they made the first season essentially an ‘origin’ (admittedly changing a couple of details). However my theory for this season is the flood. When Kwan is talking and saying “very old, the monster. Older than the light, older than this rock, older than your god. It’s been here all this time in the dark”, coupled with the cave painting/drawing at 21:59, I think she’s talking about Gravemind.

@@Omn1Media I also wonder if the Elite leader is himself, or that team, is maybe connected to The Arbiter. If they’re setting up the flood and gravemind for the end of this season/next season, then Arbiter has to be set up aswell. My only worry with that is if they’re trying to be completely faithful to the lore, I’m sure half of Halo 2 is spent playing as the Arbiter, and I’m not sure how well that would work on the show, being with him for potentially a quarter of half of the season

Having watched these first two episodes, I remain cautiously optimistic, and pleasantly surprised. Really loving all of the scenes with Silver Team, too. Almost feels like it was ripped right out of Red Vs Blue's "Project Freelancer" saga. There's also that kinda goofy Marine at the start of this episode with a _super_ thick southern accent. Practically feels right out of Halo CE.

My initial theory was that without Makee they need him alive to activate the artifacts but episode 2 killed that theory unless this Makee is a clone and doesn't have the gift.

Did anyone pick up on the special effects used on teenage John-117? One facial feature and a change in voice? They gave the to the actor who played teenage John a prosthetic nose to match Pablo Schreiber’s. They also used Pablo’s voice for the young John character, removing the gravel from his voice and raising the pitch just a bit to give to make him sound younger. Very well done. The best special effects are those you don’t notice and it took me a while to pick up on both. I haven’t seen comments from anyone else, so I’m curious if anyone else caught those.

What I felt different with this season compared to the first one is that now I actually breathe a sigh of relief when Chief is on screen. Cause I know he is gonna do his best to get shit done. In the first season...he was kinda annoying 😂

I think that when Cortana was connecting to Chief, he was connected through artifact to Makee, so Cortana not only saved him but also Makee by accident.

I have learn from being a big comic fan and watching my favorite characters turn in to movies and shows that you have to go into these type of things as if you did not know anything. Most of the writers of these shows are not invested like we are. Thus they add stuff that is not needed and that we do not care for.

Why is no one talking about the fact they started glassing the planet right after the elites left? Like, where are all these theories coming from? And to be frank, bad writing. Chief literally could have said "they left seconds before they started glassing the planet" and wala, no more conflict with that little plot of doubt. I get it, the point is for Chief to be in a semi compromised state, but that whole situation just felt half assed without much logic to the writing. Chief is a bloody soldier. And not just any soldier, a spartan. I would think that anyone in that realm would have the ability to assess enemy leadership and critical targets and tactics. Again, I don't get the theories coming out of this. That bit just took me right out of the show when it came up.

Let’s go halo is back I never played the games but I know part of the story. Don’t know how die hard fans were up in arms about S1 and especially master chief taking off the helmet but you need a face to the name this is tv not a video game 💀

It was a lot more than the face. The face wasn't a huge deal for me though it became a bit of a meme. As a counter though, I would add The Mandalorian works extremely and so much emotion is conveyed with only one face scene a season. Character wise, this Chief is a completely different Chief.

@@michaelmegson2778 the Mandalorian has a legit lore reason not to remove helmet. the master chief doesn't. none that I'm aware of. someone enlighten me if I'm wrong but this is just fanboys crying over one small deviance from the game. The game left him faceless so you could rp the character. the series needs to have him outside the suit.

@@Hobodeluxe960 He's not one dimensional in the games or books either, his arc and characterization are very different. He has a whole complex arc from his introduction to Halo 6. It's one of the better things 343 has done with the character since they took over. That's already undone here so that's what I'm saying, they are not the same Chief and that's going to annoy people. I'm looking past that part but the changes and additions to the lore the show's added don't actually add anything of value. They've undone most of them here though there are some things they haven't been able to completely detach. When you know how much more rich and complicated the source material can be and you get a generic sci fi series with things that look like Halo, it feels off. If you've never played the games or read the books (which are canon), how can you judge why people who have are upset about certain things?

Spartans don't live in their armor they only wear them in combat and I've complained about this show so much there's no way they would pay me lol
