I have known women that did not leave their bedrooms without hair fixed, makeup on, and dressed for the day. My mother only wore one item of makeup 💄, lipstick, and it was applied before she had her first cup of coffee. This was so until the was terminally ill with cancer, and then only in her last few months. For her it was her armor for the day. It was her showing the world she was ready to take whatever life threw at her. It was her outward show of self confidence. So I understand applying makeup. Especially lipstick, which to me is all she seems to have on.
