When you walk through Northgate in the city centre of Bradford, some of you may notice a Dog (not real 🐶) on the second floor window ledge , on a Victorian dwelling.

Full age is 21 and over, below 21 you needed your parents consent to marry. Nowadays you have to be 18 to marry without parental consent. I think I've found Hannah's date of birth through finding her baptism in Ripon, born 27 April 1822. He was born in around 1817. Looks like the marriage was by license which meant no banns so a but more discreet

funny this everytime I see this dog I always say I want it and painting same colour of my dog he is a lurcher

Lived here all my life.. ive Never even noticed a dog up there. 🤔 Although I love all the old architecture. We have some beautiful old buildings here. But then I mainly go on North parade, not often go on the other side.. This is really interesting. Thank you.

I think the spots painted on the dog are a more recent embellishment. I don’t remember it being spotted when I was working in town 50 years ago
