Michael schenker is an absolutely brilliant guitarist one of the best no doubt !!!
@MajorSecord8 ай бұрын
That outro, as played here starting around 3:53 , is one of the most melodic and lyrical pieces of rock guitar I have ever heard. Schenker's tone and execution makes this performance exceptionally tasty listening. Simon Phillips and the bass player are a solid rhythm section,as well.

There were a lot of brilliant guitar players in the 70's and 80's, most notably Eddy, Randy, Vai, Satriani, Page, Malmsteen and so on. But if I'm being honest, none of them is such a brilliant rock musician as Schenker. Schenker never loses touch with the song, the song is always in the foreground, his guitar playing is not pure acrobatics and he is a brilliant composer. For me he is the greatest rock musician of all time. It is a pity that he only received the recognition he deserved in expert circles.

Well respected by his peers but for me he slipped through the cracks, as 9 never really discover him in depth until like, within the last 10 years. I guess the important thing is, I did.
