I think both BMW and Alpina made a mistake. Alpina should have put that V12 in the B7, for smoothness and comfort while remaining powerful. BMW should have put S63 in their "M" car.

its a shame bean counters even took over ALPINA its like they dont even try anymore. 2005 alpina used to give u a complete different car, now its just a 7 series with a body kit? just by looking at the wheels you can tell they cut corners. Alpina used to make a hollow spoke and bring the valve stem to the center of the wheel for balance. thats when engineers ran the company. if you dont have to add a supercharger and the interior is hardly even different, why does it cost 30 grand more than a 7 series?

The difference between Alpina B7 and the 760 M is that Alpina is set to have as much performance and handling as the 760M while sacrificing no comfort and by that, it seems to be more true to what a top of the range 7 series BMW autobahn high-speed cruiser should be.

The M760i is not an out and out ///M Car... it one of BMW M-Performance models that fills the gap between sporty and the ///M range. If you want and ///M in this car you will need to wait till the new 8-Series comes along!!!

Alpina is a Manufacturer not a tuner. It's not owned by BMW as AMG is to MB. It's titled as an Alpina. Saying Alpina is just a tuner is a major injustice.

Abdulla Khashabi The term twin turbo is given to vehicles that use sequential turbos, a small one for low rpm torque, and a larger one for higher rpms and power. The biturbo system uses two equally sized turbos, one fed by cylinders 1-3, and the other by cylinders 4-6. They are not sequential or in series, but in parallel.
