Would you go with 338 or 6.5 rpm. I do more timber 225 yard and less hunting. Might do a few western hunts.

@travissmith-wz5nc that's a hard pick but for most people a 6.5rpm will get the job done. The 338 rpm has roughly 500 more ft lbs of energy at 300 yards.

270 RPM? Modernize the 270 Wby! 1-8 Twist for bigger bc bullets! 35 RPM? and a 7mm RPM! Modernize them. Twists bring glory to the older cartridges!

The extra speed of the 6.5RPM is needed for hunting, and when you factor in the lighter weight rifle, it sounds like a great package.

The best elk round is still the 300 Weatherby Magnum! I would love to have a 6.5 RPM, but i really lust for one of your 257s

At this point, why not push the envelope even further? Really crank up the velocity and just make a 6.5-378 Weatherby Magnum. Speed kills, right?? 🤪
