Great video, I am not sure that I ever went to A&S comics in Teaneck, NJ. I used work out of the Teaneck Armory back in the day and I am sure that my spidey sense would have detected a comic shop in the area. I live in Texas now and they do have some great comic shops out here but their are definitely more comic shops in Jersey and their prices are much more reasonable than they are in Texas. Thanks for the great video, love this type of content.

Nice pick ups! Batman 400 is 🔥. How do you judge whether a raw book and its asking price is fair? Just curious. I mainly buy graded. The first time I picked up a raw over $100, I can say it wasn’t worth it. After the vintage grading fees, pressing fees for vintage, shipping back and forth, I would have been better off just buying a graded copy. So that brings me to the question what do you use to decide if it’s a fair deal on a raw, $100 less than the graded version, plus some room for incorrectly over grading it?

@@tikertiker2 great question. I’m not slabbing books at the moment so I’m not worried about that cost. I also press and clean my own books. Now for the real answer…. I look at the book I’m buying and assign a grade for it. I check GPA for recent sales and then i determine if it want to purchase. I always make offers and never pay full price unless the dealer is firm and I really want the book.

Ps - there’s even more to it than that to be honest. I wanna see if the book in question has anything major that would make it hard for me to sell at anytime. Pieces missing, tape, etc. Now is the time to be picky
