It was Randy’s first single with Warner Bros. Nashville and was only a minor hit. After the chart successes of Travis' next single, "1982", the label reissued "On the Other Hand" in April 1986, and it became his first number one hit in both the United States and Canada.

I first heard this classic on a radio station broadcast from Ireland. I loved it and knew all of the lyrics by the next morning! 🎵 I sincerely hope that Mr.Traivis is doing well and is on the road to recovery! His music is the best! 🎵👍
