How did they turn the boat over in 'The Poseidon Adventure?' Telly Savalas was in the sequel, but it didn't work. He also took over for Lee Marvin's role in 'Dirty Dozen' sequels. He loved to drink and gamble and have a good time! Shelly Winters could make life so annoying at times. I begged Gavin MacLeod to stay with 'McHale's Navy.' The bus and crew get lost on the highway. I tell Ernie that my AAA membership is a good thing.

Much earlier in the pandemic, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents, taking care of them and helping them through twenty-first-century life's difficulties. My grandfather is really quite old and suffers from a number of competing medical problems that have done nothing but proliferate and worsen for my whole life. He used to be able to walk when I was three or four, but he is chair-bound now, and has been for so long I can't really clearly picture him walking anymore, if ever I could. I've not always been proud of my grandfather, as his mind goes with time he's said things to me and others he doesn't really mean. It can be hard to see adults grow older. I grew up well-entertained by the voice of Ernest Borgnine as Mermaid Man on "SpongeBob Squarepants" -- and discovering his distinguished career in film, as well as all of these informal interview on-the-road tapes, has been a pleasure. But as I watch Ernest, and hear the way he speaks, and see his age, I think more and more of my own grandfather. Ernest is in better shape for his age than he by far, but they don't look too dissimilar. They wear the same shirts. Ernest is not my grandfather -- his gregarious, life-loving persona, the part of him which gives out warm handshakes of gratitude to the customers and the employees of restaurants he visits, is my favorite part of watching these videos. But part of that I think is that Borgnine at this age is wise and grandfatherly and is as such in a way I think maybe my grandfather never was to me. Ernest is gone, and soon too will be my grandfather, but that this grandfatherliness is preserved on KZfaq, for anyone who might need it, consoles.

Very patient with family and movie crew; when they misdirected his route. Shows his good natured personality, given his age and celebrity. Took this small step in stride; could easily used swear words or gone ballistic. Thus the concept: HYSTERIA BASED ON HISTORY. ( his entire life & lifestyle & experiences must have been a good work/ family members balance. Very commendable).
