So I bought this system based on this review and a few others. I did a bar last night roughly about 75-100 people. I was not disappointed at all. I was actually amazed at how good this thing sounded. I didn’t think it would be enough so like you I brought spare speakers just in case. But also like you I never needed them. This system is dope man now I have the struggle of keeping my other speakers or selling them to get another Bose it is that damn good.

I’ve used the previous model Bose L1 Model 2 line array for nearly 10 years as a karaoke DJ. I have absolutely loved it the entire time. The only major upgrades I made to it in that time was going from 2 B1 sub modules to 1 B2 sub module when it came out, and then I upgraded the mixer when the new one came out. The array tower and power stand have been just as rock solid as I could have ever hoped for over these 10 years. I had to send in the power stand for the first time just a couple months ago because I left it plugged in a normal outlet with no surge protector and it shorted during a brown out at my home (absolutely not mad, totally my fault). I had the system for 9 1/2 years and never registered it with Bose before I sent it in for repair. Called tech support, explained the situation, and I was anticipating the repair costing several hundred dollars. The rep I spoke to was absolutely amazing! She helped me register my tower in their system and then told me I was only going to have to pay for the shipping to HQ!! The repair was totally comped! I’ll definitely be making the jump up to this new model very soon. You simply cannot beat its combo of compact footprint, ease of set up and use, ease of ownership and lack of repairs needed, and sound quality.

Great input. My wife is a Certified Event Planner and Certified Florist (charesefelicianodesign) and I occasionally help with some of the setup and occasionally book the DJ portion. This past weekend she did an outdoor wedding where the couple hired 2 DJs and a band. She also contracted out the sound equipment and they were using the EV EVOLVE 50s throughout the entire facility and I was impressed by the sound. I have a couple of Bose products and have always been impressed with their technology and how they always push the boundaries to provide an excellent sound.

Thanks for the review. I recommend hard cases for the tower pieces and the stand. This is from my experience working gigs with the OG Bose L1 I bought in 2007. It’s been a work horse, but the bags offer poor protection and the grind of transporting them adds a lot of wear to the pieces. The cases are expensive, unfortunately. But I believe they are necessary. Good luck!

Damn. I'm still using a 10 year old L1 Compact. I can't imagine what this new system sounds like. Yet I can still walk into a coffee house, pub or patio with everything I need in two hands, including my guitar. These systems are awesome and Bose makes enough different models, everyone could use one.

I have a line array system from a different company but the concept is the same. When I take one system out it is enough but barely. It's certainly possible to do a small wedding with just one. By having two I am able to do more types of events that need more volume. I also sometimes add a sub and the system really kicks. I would say that for hip hop and the like, the sub really steps things up.

There's way too much hate on here. I thought your review was thorough and sincere. The only question I still have after using the pro 8 for a year at bars is if the 16 or 32 are any more stable. I'm wondering if 2x s1 Pro w/2x Sub2 will be better for rowdy, crowded gigs. Unfortunately that would be more directional & i really love the 180° coverage.

Hi Terry! I enjoy following your videos. If possible, I wanted to see how you rate your satisfaction of the Bose L1 Pro 32, with the Sub2 sub a year later. I purchased two of these systems and they have been nothing short of incredible. I always carry a couple of Mackie’s for backup but since my purchase they’re primarily collecting dust. If I may also ask sir, are you familiar with any road cases for the Sub2 cabinets. Thank you again for your wonderful videos. Blessings,

Hi and thanks for the video. If I have a Numark Mixtrack Pro FX Platinum where I can also plug in a microphone, do I really need a ToneMatch?? The control of the Numark turntable with the adjustments on the speaker itself should be enough, right?? I don't understand that part for the Bose L1 PRo32. Conclusion: Is that possible that I buy the speakers and just plug my regular DJ stuff without buying anything else ? thanks

Bose bass just doesn't carry that's why everyone talks about how crisp it is because what else is left when you are missing bass. MIds and highs do sound great but in my opinion, the bass lacks. I don't understand why they don't use high tweeters at the top and mid-twitters towards the bottom to give you a better range it drives me crazy.

F1 system it's a better choice for the actual price. Don't joke with me, this system is a good system but F1 have more potencial. Love the F1 and then F2 when It come out. L 8 16 32 systems are not systems that I identify with. I like tops with at least a 12 inch speaker to give that real fat sound. L-systems are good systems but for those who want to save space in transport although the F1 don't take up much space. Towers with mini loudspeakers as tops don't convince me at all. For now the 4 f1 systems I have are my boys, when their replacements come out then I'll change it assuming there will be improvements, otherwise I'll be fine as I am.
