On The Search For Baby Kingfishers | Wildlife Photography

So the kingfishers we usually visit down at our wildlife centre has finally had their little ones and we are going to attempt to grab some pics of them if possible. They have been seen at random times so it's a matter of luck whether they show up for us or not.

Came across your vlog somehow, and I thought.....I recognised that path you started to walk on, and yes you're at my little sanctuary at the Cardigan wildlife centre, I have many a happy hour in that hide, a couple of years ago I walked in to be met by two BBC camera crews and the springwatch presenter Lolo, such a nice man and made me feel welcome and not in the way ❤

It really is a small world!! We visit the wildlife centre quite often to try our hands at the kingfishers or otter if were super lucky and it never gets old going down there. Everyone is always super nice and respectful in the hides. Wow that must have been amazing meeting him! Don't get chances like that often for sure, we are very jealous haha

Had a similar experience at The Gann, Pembrokeshire there was an Osprey a juvenile that had been hanging around for a few weeks before making its long flight and Lolo and a film crew were down to get some footage and you are right he is a lovely guy 😀

Great video and some really neat footage of the KIngfisher. I was here today for exactly the same thing and had quite a bit of luck especially at the Mallard Hide or so I thought not long home and discovered I had shot all my stills as small jpegs so feeling like a complete numpty 🙄 I did manage some decent 4K footage though. Its going to be a hardship lol but I guess I will be making another trip up again tomorrow 😀

Thank you! Oh god that is a shame but it happens to the best of us sometimes. Plus it’s another excuse to go back there and take more pictures in my opinion, not that I need an excuse 😂
