I love how international music can be. When this song was first recorded in 1930 my grandfather was an 18-year-old kid in El Salvador dreaming of being an engineer. Back then, they'd play band hits from America, Mexican crooners singing rancheras, and French jazz ballads. I like to think that that he walked to a dance and sheepishly asked a girl onto the dance floor while this played. What a marvelous song and lovely performance.
