On this episode we follow up with Sailcloth strap powerhouse Artem. Their ambitious target of providing the world's finest sailcloth watch strap continues to impress, as they raise the bar yet again. Is it cheap, No. Is it the best, Absolutely. Is it worth it? Well, that depends. Much like anything else in the luxury space, objective value only goes so far, and at some point you just have to understand that levels of subjective value will dictate price points above the baseline of products that are beyond what you need. Thank you for the video. Has anyone received their strap from Artem yet? I ordered on January 7. Tracking says it has been in Auckland New Zealand since January 19. No movement since then.

Thanks for this. Was still on fence if better to get something more like this or 2 in the regular style for roughly the same price?.. getting 2 will probably be slightly less expensive. But, is the more premium buckle and total experience package with it worth roughly $200? Was also curious if this version might possibly add a bit too much thickness on the bottom of the strap. It seems ok. Hmm. Still contemplating.. this set up or get 2 colors in regular style buckle?...

Which versions is more comfortable to wear? that's my main concern. The RM style deployment clasp or the LOOP-LESS DEPLOYANT CLASP

Great video and thanks for highlighting these straps. Any idea if they’ll have this configuration (loop-less) in the blue? Only see black on their site right now. Definitely going to pick one of the black ones up for my older LE Milus snow star. Will be awesome. Thanks again! 🙏

Funny, I have this exact setup en route to me right now. I wouldn't say I have buyer's remorse but I am asking myself if I really just spent ~$300 CDN for a watch strap. I guess this makes me feel a bit better about it. The loopless design does look brilliant and I look forward to trying it out in a few days.

It's pronounced "cow-chew." I have Artem straps with the Omega and Fifty-Fathoms style clasps. Both are very nice, although to me the Omega style clasps sits up rather high above the strap and can catch on a cuff. A minor complaint to be sure.

What are the biggest differences between the old and new strap? Would you say it's worth the price difference.

Wonder if it would be possible for them to come up with two sizes - this larger one, and one that's smaller. With the cost and all, seems should be do-able. Hopefully one day!
