On Top of the World follows Johanna Brebner and Aiyana Powell as they travel to the far north of the planet in search of waves and an arctic adventure. The two trek through deep snow filled fjords in sub-zero temperatures to surf extremely cold but beautifully fun waves. Filmed by Ishka Folkwell with an original score by Headland, On Top of the World is a celebration of surfing and an appreciation of the natural world in all its might and beauty.

Johanna and Aiyana and of course needESSENTIALS, thank you soooo much for sharing such a beautifully done film. Mostly thanks for showing how beautiful surfing can be. It's really hard to find to find beautiful footage and well photographed videos/films of just everyday surfers. So tired of watching people trying to do a thousand off the lips topped off with a cartwheel at the end of every wave.. Your film really captured the essence and spirit of surfing and as said in an earlier comment, you captured perfectly the 'Soulfulness' of surfing.' The non-surfing footage was just as wonderful and kudos to your photographer Ishka Folkwell for really doing such a magnificent job with the shooting and editing of the film. Music wasn't too shabby as well ! ...........needESSENTIALS, please keep on making more films like this !
