Whoever came up with the rolling online publicity campaign for Wet Leg (and it might well be the band) needs a massive pat on the back with a giant foam lobster claw. This is how you use the internet to build an audience.

I know Rhain and Hester will always get the most recognition, but the 3 lads too. They are brilliant. The whole band deserves all the success that is coming to them. There is a slightly Lilly Alan to their music (that's only my opinion) but there is something very very refreshing about them and I am absolutely here for the whole ride.

I'm nearly 60 too & adore this band. It gives me hope that this wonderful spirit endures. I started out a Bowie fan, moved on through punk/New Wave to Hawkwind, prog rock & the German bands of the 70s (Can, Faust, Neu!).

I was 25 when PJ Harvey came out with her debut album Dry and about lost my mind. I feel something very special and exciting about the future of this humble and talented band. They are far more talented than they are making us believe!

After years striving for excellence with multiple projects, but mostly only finding disenchantment, Rhian and Hester formed Wet Leg with a pact to never take it seriously. They've got the chops to be a prog revival outfit or whatever, but instead they choose to become the meme. ...so you hit the nail on the head, cuz that's whole magic of it. 😎

My partner dipped into my ever expanding wish list for this Xmas: I'm now the proud owner of the Rough Trade exclusive gold vinyl and also the digital download thanks to Domino's dl code card insert - I'm looking forward to blasting that out of my system tomorrow and spending many a night with it in my ears in bed via my Sansa. I already love half of the album thanks to the music videos on this channel and have managed to resist playing the other half via the audio uploads here as I wanted to hold something back for that debut LP debut spin. Absolutely love the band, I've checked your American tour dates you don't have anything in the midwest. Columbus Ohio is a college town with wonderful venues that I'm sure show up and support. Detroit Michigan is a hell of a rock and roll town also with great historic venues. Chicago is a great City where I'm sure you would be appreciated. Don't sleep on the Midwest

A real American tour, with stops in more cities in the middle of the Country would be lovely. Most British artists come to the US and hit both coasts and maybe, MAYBE, a show in Nashville or Chicago and call it a 'US Tour.' But we also love artists like Wet Leg in Kansas City, Des Moines, Indianapolis, Tulsa, etc. Do the work of going the extra mile. So many British artists don't...Maybe on their fourth or fifth album, WE will get treated with a show...if we still care at that point.
