I really appreciate Shabby Fabrics' tutorials. I'm not so intimidated with paper piecing anymore, thanks to you, Jen, and Tammy!! I get so hooked on these projects! Everything comes in the kits, and I don't need to waste fabric if I had to purchase yardage. Thank you so much, and I really want you to take your time with the future kits tutorials. It really helps me to follow along. ❤

Hi Jen. Love your tutorials. I have a question on the binding. Were the strip cut on the straight grain or were they cut on the bias? Looking closely at the fabric, it appears they were cut on the straight grain.

What is the measurement of house block with a,b,c? Sewn together.

Hi Christine - With just a, b & c sewn together, the unfinished house block size should measure 12.5" x 11.5". Hope this helps! -Michelle

I have finished cutting all,of my fabrics and placed them into bags labeled A-L. Now the nightmare has begun. Trying to follow the directions for the first block is almost impossible! Why wasn’t I told how to put these pieces in some order that would help with assembly?? Having to reopen these bags and try to figure out which pieces go where is ridiculous. Clearly I am very frustrated. The patter in the book calls these blocks one thing and the fabric guide calls them another. I have watched the video. I have been reading quilt and wall hanging patterns for over 30 years. What am I missing? Rather than explaining how to press the fabrics, perhaps you address how to organize the cut pieces that would make sense. I can’t imagine going through this nightmare every month. Please help!
