Overall I think that was a very good first impression. The head FA did an awesome job. I hope that when they start the Asia service that they will have IFE available. Great coverage of an inaugural flight

Well the video was going good until the commentary on the media guy who just happens to be Kevin from Airline Videos. He was a cameraman for LA stations and after many years quit to stream full time at LAX and now various locations. His channel just keeps growing and was featured on CBS news. But I respect you, to each their own. I was going to link them to this video but never mind lol😅

To be fair I booked this flight 2 days before, and got a window with an empty row. Then the day of like 3 hours prior my 2 empty seats got booked, and they got the 2 seats next to me. So I mean if they had been planning this for weeks, they would’ve at least secured a window right? Instead of scrambling for them?

NPA looks like a really great airline and I can not wait to try them on any of their routes. Really hope they last long (and it looks like they will). Also really amazing and cool to see them operate 757's because more light needs to be shed on these beautiful aircraft! Here's to a great future for Northern Pacific Airways!

Absolutely. They have the best plane spotting stream out there. Also, their video on this flight is gonna be excellent. They made sure they took the time and made the effort to get the best footage.

Former flight attendant with American Airlines and Pan American World Airways. Yes I'm old! LOL. Our captains used to call the 757 the Maserati of the Skies. Incredibly fast airplanes. However very difficult to work on as a flight attendant because of the length. You have people in the front of the aircraft that are finished with their meals and want to get up to go to the lavatory but we are still in the aisles with a long time to go. Gets frustrating for the passengers and the flight attendants. Having to move the cart up and down the aisle. I also loved the 767. Probably my favorite aircraft to work on. Super comfortable airplanes. Those were the days that we would serve fresh prime rib cut however you like it with hot fudge sundaes. It's crazy to see what the airline industry looks like today from back when I started flying. I always said that I was more comfortable in the sky than I am on the ground. I miss it everyday. Thanks for the great video and I wish them great success. Curious if they're going to be offering 757 service to Asia? Not sure what the range is. I know it can do transcon easily

The cabin looks really nice - wouldn't believe you were on an aircraft over 20 years old! Clearly NP believes they have a future. Would be lovely to have USB sockets and WiFi on some of the low-cost airlines here in Europe. Thanks for a great video, glad you had a good time!

The plus seats on this plane have at least 35” (including the exit row). Plus the overheads above the plus seats still have the “reserved for Main Cabin Extra” label inside.

You were sitting next to Rudy from Airline Videos Live, and Kevin was the one filming for Northern Pacific Airways. He is a former tv news photojournalist from the LA area and has over 700k subs for his YT channel AVL, which does livestreams out of LAX. Nice review Emil❤️✈️

I’m not gonna lie, I had no idea the inaugural event happened lol. Usually there’s a lot more publicity or hype and all the channels I follow talk about it. I follow Northern on Instagram and that’s the only reason I even knew they were flying. But great video! I hope they improve their onboard product and keep being a good competitor to other big airlines. Great seeing multiple airlines spring up. It lowke reminds me of the old days and how many airlines the US used to have.

Glad you got a chance to be a part of this unique inaugural. I hope they can be the Iceland Air of the Pacific. I would take it if they offered flights from the LA area (LGB) to East Asia via Anchorage and the prices were decent. And I'm in agreement with Emil regarding Kevin. I don't care if he was invited by the airline, is a photojournalist or a nice guy; it seemed he was too close to the crew while filming. He should know better.

Those USB power ports under the seats looked nice and compact. Maybe Southwest will one day decide to outfit their whole fleet with power now that it doesn't require a giant, heavy box under the seats. (I know they're slowly adding them to the MAX fleet.)

I'm thinking the guy seated in front of you is a fellow avgeek, JMan Travels--his window angle is virtually identical to yours--wondering if the pre-takeoff champagne was going to your head, the safety briefing being (purposefully?)filmed upside down! Pleasant change of clothing choice, wearing a pink button down shirt, normally you're seen in a T-shirt. With Vegas' temp being 110 F--wondering how that affects pre-flight planning for the pilots?--good to see the landing coming by the The Strip, normally will see YT takeoffs to the west.

My definition of rude is someone who is all over someone’s face. Wether pre-arranged or not, I’ve been on inaugural flights with actual media, and never seen someone so obnoxious. And if he had this pre-arranged, then why did he only book it the day of, or at least late enough to were he had to be seated on my row, and then had to scramble during boarding begging for a window

Thank you. That flight attendant is really annoying. And…you can tell that it’s not just a furst flight thing. She really likes the sound of her voice. All of her over-exaggerated inflections and tones are just cringeworthy.

They’re coming into BNA next month. Hope they succeed. Encouraged to see their slow and steady growth vs. throwing darts at the dartboard like MX seems to do. Even in 2023, I think that might be a recipe for success. The only downfall of this airline IMO is that there operating with me less than ideal 757. Good luck NP!

"Remain seated until your group is called" YES!! about time someone made those announcements, people standing and crowding gates is horrible, why is anyone in a rush to sit and be crammed for longer than they have to? Also super confusing when they call groups and yours is up but you can't tell whos in line or not because of the crowding.

That camera guy from Airline Videos, whether invited or not - should not be all up in people's faces while filming. The filming distancing is uncomfortably close. People are trying to do their jobs and he's in their way!

Not sure about this airline's business model, to be efficient out of ANC to Asia you have to make use of Russian airspace, which given the current political climate is not something I'm expecting to get resolved anytime soon. With a fleet of 757s you are limited to Seoul at best and in case of adverse headwinds you wouldn't be able to make it.

I’ve yet to have the chance to fly the real RAVN, but during long ANC layover I’d spend an hour so down at their gates watching their planes come and go.

@dakotawalkley2617 so? If it's causing the crew to have some difficulty doing their job, then they needed to give them space. Just because he's a former photojournalist or with a big KZfaq channel does not just give them a free pass to essentially interfere with the crew doing their thing. I'm not sorry if I'm in the minority here.

The guy wearing the Airline Videos t shirt with the big camera blocking and ruining everyone's shots wins the award as the most obnoxious person I have ever seen on any special flight. Doesnt matter if he was hired by NP or not. Great video otherwise!
