Wow, you don't freeze your wheat products before storage??? You run a high risk of a weevil infestation. You might get lucky for many bags but eventually it will happen and if they get outside that one contaminated container they will wipe out every flour based product in your pantry before you realize you have an infestation.

Woowee, the local honey around here is $20 per PINT! They think it's gold! I had a friend that started bees and selling honey for $10 pint and the other beekeepers cussed him out so bad and MADE him raise his price to $20 pint because they couldn't compete with him selling it for $10 🤣 well, he gave in, selling for $20 per PINT. Needless to say I couldn't afford but one and it's gold in my cabinet! It'll probably crystalize before I use it 🤣 it's ridiculous! We will be doing bees for our family consumption, probably next year! I can't wait! I haven't bought thru azure yet because we can't make the drop off time at 9am because we both work! I may reach out to the coordinator and see if we can pick up after work, without ordering anything cold. I have a list of things I'd like to get from them, just gotta make the arrangements. Thanks for sharing all the good info. I've been wondering about the berries. We are only using (and trying to grow) einkorn flour. Idk what category that falls in, but nice to know the other berries info now. Thanks Katie!
@RowesRising

It’s $20 a pint around here. I get that- as a doula we have a minimum fee we should all be charging in this town. I charge well above but there is a standard and no one should be doula-ing for less than that amount. And being a pro doula and offering “free” services is no bueno to those of us that count in it for our livelihood. I totally understand the beekeepers honey fee standard.

Good morning Katie dear. I’m so glad to see you this morning. How does the coconut cream powder taste when in coffee? I’ve been trying to find a coffee mate powdered creamer substitute because coffee mate is the last garbage thing I eat. The tea you got for Aaron. Is that for digestion help? I’ve never heard of it. As always thanks for another great video. I’ll keep you and your precious family in my prayers. Much love and blessings.

Hi Heather!! I actually just made the coconut creamer last night and used it in tea!!! I used one of those battery powered mixers. And the coconut cream powder was chunky so I had to mash some of it with a fork back to powder. It mixes well into hot drinks and tastes great!! I’m so happy I got it. I have a huge mason jar of “creamer” I made with collagen, coconut sugar, and coconut cream powder- it’s awesome and I’m sharing in my next video or two. Thanks for watching🌻

Hmmm I’m sure it’s all there in my meal prep videos. I edit everything in the order I do it- so when you see my videos jump from one recipe to me making broth then another recipe then I go back and strain my broth and then I make something else and then the next day I will use the broth then make another meal. If that’s what you mean. I definitely put my videos in the order in which I live life and my cooking routine is in all my cooking videos.

@@RowesRising I am still fairly new to your channel so I’ll have to go back and watch some. I think mean more how do you balance it all in your brain with what you need to do when. Like making bread full time and for example we do pizza Fridays but sometimes I forget to make the dough haha. I’m still trying to figure out my own rhythm of management I guess.
@RowesRising
@RowesRising Жыл бұрын
I don’t plan. 🫣Honestly. I wing it every single day cause that’s just how I roll. When I see a need I fill it. I don’t really have a routine- I’m right brained and thrive on being creative. I quit putting pressure on myself to stick to a meal plan. For example I’ve been making sourdough bread for 3 days and I kept refrigerating the dough cause I had other things going on. We didn’t have bread for 2 days and we did charcuterie boards with crackers I had stashed a few months back I need to bake the dough it in the next few days. I have no idea what for lunch or dinner tonight. But I did thaw bananas and will be making banana bread/muffins or sheet pancake today for tomorrows breakfast. I won’t know til I start and produce it. I hope this makes sense. I wish I was a better planner and routine oriented. I’m more survive and thrive.

I’ve been using coconut sugar and coconut milk powder in my coffee (as a substitute for half & half) for quite some time. I’m excited to try to make a “creamer” myself. It sure does take some getting used to. I have gone off dairy very strict for my breastfeeding infants. I was lax when they got older then I realized I just don’t tolerate it. Sad cause I LoVE raw milk and cheese. But I can do goat cheese!! Yum!

Freezing bulk grains/flours. I follow a channel out of Canada. She has an idea if you need more freezer space. She puts it in a container outside her door! Obviously one has to be careful with this. How did you freeze/defrost the alexandre milk? We had the kind in plastic containers. I have been unable to defrost it without the ? milk fat? turning solid/chunky. Its not curdled, its just sorta unappetizing. I can cook with it, but its definitely a different look. Homogenized doesn't do that. Would love to freeze these more natural items successfully. I wound up using it in ice cream. I just couldn't get it back to " normal" even with my blender! 😂
