This is the 1st. of 5 segments of Kevin's crazy canoe trip around Ontario's Algonquin Provincial Park taken in June 2013. The route followed was initiated by Algonquin Outfitters and labelled "The Meanest Link." algonquinoutfitters.com/maps/p...
- it's a 20 day trip consisting of 350 km, 55 lakes, 6 rivers (3 of which is up stream travel) and 93 portages that add up to 68 km.!
Check out Kevin's Explore Magazine blog for a detailed write up. Video one is covered in the following blogs:

That 2 second clip of Jake at Brent outpost at 2:42 kills me. I cant stop laughing. He's an absolute beauty, glad you got him in there. One of my favorite people, and not just in Algonquin. Good work Kevin. Great trip.

crazy crazy fools, canoeng & camping in cold weather. Loveable!! Did like your strip-teeze, Kevin . I agree with you on the effectiveness of wool, although I use silk for the underlay Yes I would travel with Kevin, Perhaps I should immigrate to Canada.

Andy works for the MNR with the Species at Risk Program. I think he just fakes writing in his journal to avoid camp chores - lol

+ke5ufg It's from Eureka Canada. We brought a tent - but did sleep in the shelter a few times. It's an amazing piece of gear to bring on a spring trip
