Q&A with Aurora after the London premiere of Once Aurora! Sorry about the camera shaking but my arm was aching after 30 mins of holding my phone. And also the quality isn’t the best but it was the best I could get recording it from a cinema screen! ENJOY! 🌟🎋♥️

Aurora previously has said that she prefers to sing in English because it's her second language and that serves to keep some distance between herself and audience - and that singing in Norwegian makes her so vulnerable because it's so revealing of her real self. So, if she is ready to sing some songs in Norwegian that is a good indication that she is feeling very secure and free and that is a very good thing. I admire this young lady so much! She's so talented, and such a beautiful person. She is such a lovely and formidable force for good in the world and i hope she can always feel loved and happy!

How to be freely yourself: “I think in this world we are given this strange promise by the culture we humans have, you know with each other, that you’ll get happiness if you are accepted and if you’re liked and if you fit in and all of those things. But I’ve been quite lucky with my loneliness when I was a child, if that makes sense, because I didn’t have...I was not so social when I was a child. I struggled a lot with people and I liked to be alone. So it really taught me from quite a young age that happiness comes from quite many things. The ability to create and explore and wonder, and becoming a philosopher by just thinking about things, looking at things, people, talking with people. It gave me, quite early in life, I learned that happiness can come from quite many other things than being accepted and approved by the people around you. It’s weird now to look back and think that my childhood, that could for some people sound a bit unhappy, because I was quite much alone, I was happy, but it’s weird that it feels like a way of life preparing me to one day become an artist, because then you also have to understand that the true happiness really comes from following your own instinct and doing what you want. Like children do, they dress like they want, they say what they have to say, and they act like they want to act. Until they learn that they have to follow some norms that the school system or society teaches us, and I don’t know, I would ask anyone to try to forget those things and because imagine how great the world would be if everyone focused on themselves focused on what make them happy. What gives you that glow that wakes you up in the morning? What hobby, what job, what thing? Whatever it is, everyone has this thing. In Japanese they call it “生き甲斐“, like the flower in your life, the thing that music is for me. Something that gives me an invisible shield and I can do anything because I have music. All people, I think, have this thing whatever it is in their life and as long as you find it and just focus on, that, you know, you are probably here for a reason, and you are you for a reason. You have something that no one else has, that’s one fact that I know for sure, because we’re all created completely different. But also the same in some ways. But we’re all different for a reason because we can all offer something different to the world. So I think it may be a matter of focus, the way you focus on your place in this earth, you know, it’s much bigger than fitting in. Because if you do what you want you can stand out and that’s a very exciting thing as well. And just don’t care, don’t care what people think. I know it’s not that easy, but, yeah, don’t care. Follow your own heart. “ -Aurora Aksnes * I typed this because I wanted her words written so I could read them again and again.🌸❤️🍃

Seriously tho.... I'm like 11 years older than her....but I genuinely look UP to her in terms of how to be a better person. She's SO self-actualized and successful on her _own__ terms. I love that she's SUCH an extreme introvert....and yet she's found a way to be herself and still get her artistry out into the world and make a nice living from that. It's inspiring for a creative introvert like me. :) And then on top of that, she's a legitimately wise person....both intellectually and emotionally. AND....if that wasn't enough....she's like 100% free from shame or self-doubt or self-pity or anxiety. She's very very free. People talk all the time about freedom....but most people don't actually take advantage of how truly free they are. They live in bondage of one kind or another....either imposed by others, or quite often self imposed. Truly unencumbered freedom of the sort Aurora exudes....is a legit life goal for me. She seems to have discovered some sort of existential secret.....and I want in on it. :D

Wow. Aurora answered each and every question with so much depth and thoughtful ness. Amazingly to do this in another language. She really was so generous and gracious. On the other hand Of the strangers who asked her questions , only one thanked her for her answer. With each one she asked "I hope that I answered your questions?"......and there was no reply at all... from the questioner ! which is cold and rude..... Notably , Aurora could not even see the people asking her such personal and private questions. The two questions at the end , the second last one was the best one. Aurora gave brilliant answers.

Thank you for sharing this Q&A! I have a small question:. There is a small muted moment in the video at 22:07. "... I'm wearing a lipstick today, ‘cause I wanted to look nice for you guys, but [… audio missing …] like to wear a lot of things and I hate it when people touch my face. So that is really nice ..." Did it happened accidental or intentional? And if second, what did she say?

i think the person who asked the question was thinking about harassement ( i have no idea if i wrote this word in the correct way, but i mean abuse and those kind of things that infortunately happen quite often to female artists by a male production team)
