The "bait" recipe is sold on the dock around the back of Meyers Market. You can also find the Beaver Deviant there too for logging help

@@aKAOTICsquirrel Its at your Supply Workbench towards the top of the options. I have the intermediate bench so i don't know if that matters. You can also find it by clicking on the bottle looking filter that has activators, bait, and other healing related things. It takes 3 rubber to make it

Thank you for those tips it really helped me not just to find out they have a little mini game of sort to fishing now but I caught two eels in that spot. You get a HUGE THUMBS UP FROM THIS GUY!!!👍

Oh, Also the little forg deviants that you use for the spring lef potion also sometimes produce another lure

You can also use the tadpoles from the frog deviant as bait

I can confirm the little lure thing is craftable, I forget what dock I got the BP at but I make them all the time for fishing

@@AQuinn1e No problem! The frog deviant has a spawn on the north end of a pond just below East Blackwell Junction in Iron river. You'll know the spot because there are 3 lily pads that you can jump on that give you a weapon attachment. The frog spawn above the pads. You can world hop in order to farm the frog. It also gives you a way of crafting double jump potions. As you said in your video I'm not sure there's a difference between the baits. I think I got the recipe to craft the blue fish bait but I can't figure out how to craft it. The tadpole bait from the frog is either not great or I'm just terribly at fishing lol

Thank you for the guide! I'm looking for info on the world events for fishing. The event text mentions that some NPC is interested in the rare fish you catch during them, but I can't find any info on it. I'd appreciate any help!

Sorry for the delay in responding! Madeleine is the NPC located on each of the docks where the Fishing events take place. She is the person with the shop on the dock. If you look towards the bottom of her shop list, there are a few fish, including the fish melee weapons, that you can buy in exchange for fish you catch during the event. For example, you can buy a Large Blue Cichlid in exhange for 5 Jade-Eye Cichlid. You can buy a Large Yellow Cichlid in exchange for 5 Golden Cichlid. You can buy the Northern Pike Blue Print (melee weapon) for 5 Northern Pike. The purpose for blueprints is obvious, I'm not so sure what the benefit to the Large Blue and Yellow Cichlids are though. Not sure if they're just cosmetic to keep in your fish tank, or if they will be required for more advanced cooking recipes, but if anyone finds out update me!

@@AQuinn1e Ahh, thank you for responding! The NPC namecard isn't translated which was confusing me. I saw the fish symbols in place of currency but didn't connect the dots. I'm gonna try for the Northern Pike blueprint later!

That is the Electronics Grabber. It's a specialization perk from the memetics menu that allows you to craft it. Increases how many Electronic Accessories you get from Storage Crates.

i did the fishing event but i can't find "Madeleine" to sell/return the fish too ... any thoughts?

Hmmm let me ask my buddies in the morning (it's 130am for me). They've done more of the fishing event than me. I know there's a lady on each dock. Maybe a different dock? Will try to get back to you though.
