God bless Sarah. I know how difficult a marriage breakup can be, and the avalanche of emotions it entails. I'm now 6 years out of my marriage and 5 years divorced and I found a few things that helped me. *The bible .... I started to read my bible and asked God for his support & guidance *Self care... I am always in full makeup with my hair done, but when we separated I let my self go abit. Part of my healing was to make myself pretty ...I went blonder, used new makeup, discovered Charlotte Tilbury and upped my beauty skin care. *Exercise.... gym, walking, classes or just at home with KZfaq Exercise videos. Not only will you tone up, but you will feel better. *Clothes .... treat yourself, get rid of slob clothes, throw out clothes that bring sad memories. Ie his favourite dress you wear..bin it etc *** You are important and you take care of you. Sadness, anger, frustration, disappointed etc .... leave them behind. Take the time to make you the best that you can be. I hope you are able to move on with your life soon. God is with you and loves you. You love you too xx

Thank you, Emily, for sharing those amazing words with us. I stated to tear up as you read. I’ve been struggling with the worry of our 33 year old daughter. She’s mom to our amazingly wonderful 5 year old grandson. She’s divorced and has a couple of disastrous relationships since her divorce. I pray god will lead her to make good choices. Kristin’s is the most loving mom and I take pride in being her mother. No matter how old our children get we will never stop worrying for them. I thank god every day for her, our grandson and our son. Happy Easter to you and your family ❤

I needed those words today, Em! I’ve had a rough week with my mom, she had to have surgery this past Monday for a fractured Tibia. She’s in considerable pain and was just moved to a rehab facility yesterday to regain her strength and mobility. This after my sister just got home from a 62 day hospitalization about 2 months ago. It’s all so exhausting. So thank you for your encouraging words to remind me that he’s got this, I don’t have to carry this alone. 😘

@Emily Noel I had not seen her in 43 years because I spent 20 years in the Navy and retired in another state, but we spoke frequently on Facebook. Her cancer was diagnosed in August, and she passed in March. Very aggressive cancer that spread to her eye and her brain. She was an absolute hoot of a woman with a giant heart for everyone. We had such good times growing up. My son will never be the same again according to the doctor, so I help as much as I can with his Dr's appointments and shuttling the girls so his partner can be with him or stay at work.

These last 2 weeks have been a struggle and I’m really trying to let go of things I can’t control. Some days I’m fine and other days I’m really sad. The devotional you read was beautiful. Em, I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate you and all that you do. Even though I'm not Christian, or any variation of the sort, when you were talking about the excerpt that you had read and shared with us, it really meant a lot to see and hear you explain your thoughts behind it and behind sharing it. I wish and hope for a day where we can all love and respect each other regardless of our differences and different world views. I love you 💖

I recently have gone through a trauma, my son and I had our lease not renewed after 18 years of living at an apt complex in Minnesota I felt like a failure by this happening to us. we found a new place within one day. We left our old place a month early but we went on Saturdays to do the cleaning, however the people down below us at the new place decided to play an awful game on me and I began hearing voices complicated by a UTI so I thought I wasn't dealing in reality I went to the ER and on 2 meds and found myself praying more and more. I'm getting better with care from my doctors and my son so thank you for the powerful words.

Loved the Maybelline eyeshadow, I grabbed it as soon as it came out in the store. And normally I am very private about religion and shy away from people who are too preachy, but you seem like you live it instead of just say it, so you are welcome here too!
