The young man froze in place, his blood feeling drained while studying her features. There was something recognizable about her, but he couldn't understand why. Yet, he took the moment to regain his composure while keeping his own thoughts to himself. "Sir, are you okay?" "Yes, I'm fine. Just need to walk it off. My office is not far from here." She nodded her head and walked off, unaware of the secret policeman the stranger ran into. Wherever she went, Gleb quietly prayed for her sake. He had every right to arrest her, but the times had changed since those days. "Good luck, your highness." . . . I think I got too much time on my hands.

My grandmother is a December baby, and she's the closest to a mother I've ever known...I grew up on Anastasia, so Anya and her bond with her own grandma would always remind me of what I have with my Gram. My sisters and I even sang this for her birthday, once. It'll always remind me of my beloved Gram, even long after she's gone... ❤ ADDENDUM: I've been HORRIBLY sick, today, so thank you for this, Caleb...you did a lovely job... 🥰

As a child of, say, 9 or 10, I watched the film Anastasia for the first time. I remember liking it, but nothing about its content in particular. Years went by, and as I was maybe 27, I watched it again with my girlfriend. It was like watching it for the first time again, as it was so long ago. Then, this song came on... And it struck me like a hammer! Although I had only heard it once, the melody had left an undiscovered mark on my mind that made itself forcefully known at that moment, and I sat in awe as the scene went by. I only noticed that tears were rolling down my cheeks when my girlfriend asked me why I was crying. I could not even give a proper answer, other than "I don't know...this song just got to me...".
