JMSKrakow1 Antonio Margheriti actually was an Italian film director. The reference is in inglorious basterds to the name of the director. Remember those “Italians” were supposedly in the movies industry

It's a '' what if the manson family had crossed paths with two unwitting people that would go on to change a gruesome murder to be '' film. The two main characters, the dog and wife aren't real but the rest are. Just Google Sharon Tate, terrible, it makes the deaths of the three hippies all the funnier, I can imagine the leads enjoyed the killing scenes.

Visually, it's an awesome movie - the Hollywood/California look & feel is golden. The story is classic Tarantino... you either get it or you don't. Great cast and well worth a watch for something different, once upon a time... in Hollywood. Holly would if she could, Tarantino.

Very good movie, bringing about great acting, an unbelievably big heart performed by Pitt and two bad-asses that would've settled matters otherwise if you came across them :) Why bother reading? Just get on with viewing a masterpiece of cross-ages photography if you haven't.

There was a lot of controversy about this film when it first came out,because it had included the sharon tate tragedy but that was because thay(MSM)hadn't seen it!....I was pleasantly surprised that infect it was very respectful to her memory showed her in a very sweet way!!...ofcourse there's violence!! not about her....'its a "if only" type of movie...go watch it you'll have a great 60/70s trip and maybe shed a tear at the end. 😎🇺🇸

i believe its a decent movie. but its so long and some scenes are a bit too long and sometimes a bit boring too. there wasn't really some kind of plot to it. but i really liked the ending with the hippies.

Well what you just watched was quentinos, manson family murders alternative ending with a shit ton of unecessary back story and foot fetischism. Needless to say in the real version sharon tate and the other guests at the polanski home were all murdered.

If only! The last ten minutes were the funniest killing scenes, very enjoyable knowing the real outcome. Brad Pitt seemed to be really into the smashing of the head into the mantlepiece, phone and table, ace.

There are Tarantino movies I could watch again and again and again - like "Pulp Fiction" and "Inglourious Basterds", then there are those like this one that I'm glad I saw once, but will probably never watch again. The movie was such an odd mix of agonizingly slow and boring moments and deliciously intense and perfectly timed bits. In both of the above mentioned films the slow bits are not boring at all but instead fascinating and build up to something meaningful. But not this film. Worth watching. Once.
