I am a no nonsense ex-Marine Engineer with no time at all for "luvvies" and arty-farty types but freely admit that music like this is almost beyond human in it's beauty and emotional power. Composers such as John Barry and Ennio Morricone are people who transcend the normal and provide the rest of us bovine crowd with a glimpse into true, soul moving beauty. Thank you to them all.

Knowing what the orchestra and voice was able t to bring, I will always wonder what the composer and conductor could hear before instruments or voices were chosen, and how they brought the voice and "words" the conductor had. I love what they did, and wonder if 'like an artist who looks at his or her painting in a gallery, they wonder if they could have done it better.
