@@jameswestern3931 get a group of people who have never seen survivor. He could win the entire season easily. But if he's playing with people who knows the game, it would be the weakest to go first as opposed to Jeff. Just because he is a host doesnt mean its strategic for him to go first and people who analyze or played the game knows that.

He's a lovable guy but is almost impossible for his archetype to win again unless you're in a horrible season with horrible people (like Tommy in IoI)

@@Butanebastardgas I didn't discount that but top 15 winner? He was riding Lauren coattails the entire merge (well, after Kellee being voted out but I have that episode well repressed into my mind). And finally Dean took 2 votes from him. Dean, the goat who did only one move because they gifted him an unfair advantage way late into the game. Dean, the guy who made fun the entire way about how Noira and Karishma were the army of goats yet he choose to lose against Tommy when he could beat those two goats! So yeah, amazing social player, but so was Cara from DvG yet she is not in any person "best" list because just as Tommy she lacked in the strategic department.

Sierra Reed from Tocantins was also supposed to be on the Heroes Tribe but got cut because she was in a relationship with a producer.

I was a huge fan of Sierra on Tocantins but other than the fact that she was sort of ostracized by her tribe from the get go and managed to make it far, she didn't exactly fit the theme of HvV.

Yeah, but she might not last too long on whatever tribe she is picked for because I have found out somehow on the internet that she has 2 pins in her back from some type of injury that she received a few years before the Micronesia season started. If any one of her tribe mates knows about it they may decide to take her out early because she may not be 100% all the time. I once saw a March Madness style bracket that had 64 single season players on it.You may still be able to find it here somewhere in google or reddit. Natalie Bolton was one of those players. She won the entire bracket.

I think Courtney was mostly just stating that she wasn’t behind Coach’s elimination. She obviously voted for him, she just stated Parvati wanted him gone, which she did.

Wow Russel was basically doing what Rob was doing during his winning season but less subtle and not using the buddy system. He had so little trust he didn't even have the buddy system, he just spied on everyone making sure they were never scheming on him.

The secret videos are so good man! I know quite a few of those secrets but there was a lot of them that I did not know about. It makes sense that one of the best seasons has a ton of secrets. Can’t wait to see more!

Idk if this counts as a secret but russel said he has like a 10 day break after Samoa before they filmed this season so he played 78 days with a 10 day break 😳

Couch was here toplay and was angry he lost. But then he comes back again and meets Brandon and arguably totally controls him with his faith to a certain extent. Couch got progressively more ruthless in his attempts to win. But even he could not stand Russel. Got to love just how universally hated Russel was to anyone who was around him.

Just wanted to share my thoughts on Russell... He is definitely my favourite player on Survivor. I would probably hate him if I played against him or knew him in real life, but as a viewer he was SO entertaining. He's the biggest game changer for me, cause after his first 2 seasons you could tell just how differently everyone else started playing strategically. Unfortunately he will never get the credit he deserves because he pissed off too many people.

Plus one thing to think about. Hes there Nevadě he loves the game. He does have money. For him the win isnt as interesting as for others. Thats why I personálu think he does not care about the social part of the game and just has fun.

No. He will always get the credit he deserves because he pissed off too many people. That's his issue. That's why he'll never win survivor and will always be judged for that.

@@HeelBJC idk, I think Russell changed the game in a big way, which is that after his seasons, people (both the audience and players and even showrunners) started to respect the whole conniving/outplaying type of gameplay, in the past I feel like the jury would simply vote for who they liked better/which player they felt screwed them over the least. AFTER Russell's seasons, (unfortunate timing for him, but again I think he is the one to credit for this shift) is when it seems like the jury became more willing to vote for the person who played a better game and made a lot of moves, even if they were on the receiving end of some of those moves

I remember Kenny being mentioned as being cut really late into the process, to where there were reports he was cut at the actual airport. He'd even mentioned being a "male villain backup", which I take it meant he was in a similar situation as Natalie B (Nat B being a potential backup for Courtney, and I guess Kenny might have been one for Randy?).

That Alex Bell/Kim Powers thing is one of the few non-Ponderosa secrets from this video I did actually know because Kim Powers is from my hometown and it was a talk of the town because of how our hometown hero who was on Survivor back at its peak got married.

Rupert was rooting for Jerry to win so he really didn't plan to vote for Sandra. I never get why, Jerri detested him in both seasons they played together. Maybe it was compensation for not letting her get any sleep, building a terrible shelter on all stars and striking her on a pole?

@@frida.7831 Can't find anything on Rupert from EW for HvV from that season. But I did find a couple of articles where Rupert mentions that he and Jerri didn't get along at all. And that he respected Parvati and Sandra's game.

@@Ediitsaur The rumor was JT and Sugar were dating before filming Heroes vs Villains. However JT was using her for the game and planned to target her first. He was also coaxing her to act how she was to enlarge her target. Then after being voted out and betrayed in such a matter, coupled with addiction and her mental health issues she tried to take her own life on the perjury trip.

Shane definitely would've been better than Randy. Also, Penner was supposed to be on this season but he got cut last second as well for Russel, which sucks, but is understandable. Imagine a villains tribe though staying the same but with Shane/Penner instead of Randy and Corrine/Natalie instead of Danielle. Absolute gold. Aside from Sugar and maybe Danielle, this cast was top notch. Even though Randy wasn't a big star this season, headed into it he was definitely one of the more entertaining cast-mates. Easily one of the best returning casts in Survivor history. Maybe the best.

I'm going to say that she might have had a chip on her shoulder already just getting off of the helicopter the first day. During the first challenge she told Sandra not to undo her bikini top, and then at camp she got frustrated because she couldn't weave the palm fronds as well as Amanda and Candace were doing. I'm going to say that she might not have been ready to come back so soon after her 1st season.

I actually would have preferred Jenna over Danielle, Candice or Sugar. And I'm sure Sandra was just joking about Jenna being the first one out. Her social game is too good for that, and the HvV cast wasn't as hellbent on getting the winners out as All Stars was.

@@OnceUponAnIsland I disagree. He stole items from the other tribe, he was a constant bully, and just watch how cringe it is when he confronts Johnny Fairplay. He nearly chokes the dude! Just to name a few. I love Rupert! One of the best villains in the early seasons.

Did you watch at the time? Because the Rupert hype during Pearl Islands and All Stars was major. I remember being 12 and basically being a stan for him. That's why casting him as a hero makes complete sense. Now having rewatched all the Rupert seasons within the year, I 100% agree with you that he comes off totally villainous. But 2004 was a a horrible time and we didn't know any better. :D

@@OnceUponAnIsland Exactly. I think Russell became so delusional about his relationship with Survivor. Especially after S19, S20, and S22 pre merge boot list were all leaked. And didn't know That Season 40 was originally Legends and that both Fairplay and Jenna Lewis was contacted by production

rob gets mad at coach, and yet Rob betrayed LEX, when Lex helped ambah stay in the game, also Candace being a Hero is hilarious, she will flip over to anyone, they could've brought back Bobby John, Candace cost Rupert his first win, and then they rewarded her by bringing her back 3 years later

Russell claiming he's the GOAT yet lacking any titles still bothers me a lot to this day. He can't compare himself to a sports great, let alone Jordan. Greatness of that caliber belongs to players that have titles, thus proving that they're the best. As I see it, Tony is Michael Jordan. And, Sandra is something similar, like a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Larry Bird. They both have multiple titles and proved themselves as the true greatest players of this game. Until Russell wins a title (which is unlikely), he won't even be in the conversation for the GOAT, let alone top contender for it. Tony's no. 1, Sandra's no. 2. They have multiple titles and proved that they can win under multiple contexts of play. Tl;dr: The two players to win twice, along with other various winners, realize what it takes to win. Russell never did, and thus he's not worthy at all of being called the "GOAT" or calling himself that.

If one were to flip-flop the two in position, it's whatever. I just put Tony at number 1 because of winning the Winners edition and gaining his second title. Both have won multiple titles, and both have proven themselves to have very effective strategic play and are always threats even when they don't win. Whether one puts Tony in 1st or Sandra in 1st for gameplay doesn't matter to me, because both are S tier players. Finding a way to win not just once, but multiple times is something special. It's part of the reason why I love both Tony and Sandra.

Agreed, his girlfriend wanted money. And CBS wanted to potray him bad, they did the same with Rich and his taxes literally dogging on him on TV and then when his lawyer tries to talk they say “we ran out of time”. Pretty scummy stuff, Brian seems like a nice guy despite what people say.

Yeah, but Jeff pretty much hates Johnny (showed up drunk in his first TC in Pearl Islands, got into an altercation with Jeff’s brother at a reunion show/party). It seems like the two Survivor players that Jeff hates the most besides quitters like Colton and Purple Kelly are Johnny and Brian. In retrospect, the way Johnny wasn’t allowed to have his pain meds as he was recovering from a jaw surgery, which led to him begging to be voting out was almost like Jeff trying to get some sort of last laugh on Johnny. It sucks to because imagine how different the Villains tribe would’ve been if it had FairPlay, Russell and Boston Rob in it

I can't even remember when I last saw the HvV ponderosa episodes.. but I could swear that they did explain why they made them change out of their Dragonz outfits (which I believe was just that they didn't want to distract the players too much..?) idk like I even remember Courtney talking about it like it's annoying and ridiculous lol am I crazy? Maybe I just saw that somewhere else..?
