A big thing I’ve found that’s helped me in life has been focusing on being grateful for what I have and cherishing the small things that make me happy. Every time I’m out fishing or diving I’ve focused on how lucky I am do be able to do these things and making the most of every second. Even small things like having the sun shining on me while I’m out walking or sitting waiting for the train has made me more appreciative of small things like that. Focusing on being grateful for the small things has overall made me a lot happier person and has turned a lot of shit days into a lot of good days. I know this has probably been heard and said a million times and not sure if I’ve worded this the best but I think not many people implicate into their lives being grateful for the small things. It’s crazy how much of a difference it can have on your life. Give it a try. Just thought I’d put my 2 cents out there. Cheers Clay

Gidday mate..I tell yah disconnecting from the internet and going for a run and a cold swim has made my life so much better, I hated to run is well,.but you cant beat that feeling after a good run or even walk you feel so alive and so grateful,. Then jumping into cold water is a instant boost, Im wanting to do some big hikes this year later on or early next year. Go bush completely disconnect for a while. I think it'll he super beneficial to me,.As I get very complacent and comfortable. I appreciate you bro have a blessed weekend.

You dont know the differnce you make to people lifes and mindset. Cheers for being straight up with all of us and calling the bullshit out we need people like you in life. We get one chance at life and its 100% up to the individual to make the choices and changes needed to make life better. The high pace of the world we live in seeking instant gratification doesnt make it easy to do the things we dont want to do but if you slow down abit you realise those hard things that you dont want to do are really the things you need to do. We are already 60 days into this new year and if we dont start doing the things we dont want to do then another year will pass by and we will still be sitting there thinking yeh i was thinking about doing this last year.... Prime example quitting weed after 14 years of daily use 2 weeks in yeh its hard but ive been saying for the last 13 years i need to stop... Take the bull by the horns and suck up some hardship because the benefits far outway living a life of regret. We dont regret the things we achieved in life we regret the things we didnt do... Cheers for the videos clay.

I take my hat off to you mate. I have struggled with addiction my entire life, gambling, drugs, sex, extreme sports, food etc...you name it. I know how hard this would have been for you to quit the old electric broccoli and that makes you all the more a strong man for doing so. You got this bro 👍

Love your vids Clay, first time commenting....I resonate coz Ive found the key to my own healing which has been a deeper connection to earth, nature and the environment I live in. Gaining a deeper mind/body connection through the practice of mindfulness and being present. Also Zhan Zhuang....wim hof breathing and cold water immersion have been a way for me to create the resilience I require to beat that ever present resistance to feeling uncomfortable. Comfortable makes me fat and lazy lol though it is a great place to rest for a bit 😊 keep up the great work of spreading the info you know, Im betting it changes lives.

Pio looking old. Stopping drinking and cutting back on sugar and carbs in my diet. Taking on tuff situations as a new experience to over come. I no longer let people use me or walk all over me . I speak up when I'm not happy as I've learned if I stew on it . When I do finally explode its never good . I constantly make shore I'm being a good and fear person.

One thing that I struggled with was caring about what other people COULD say or think, As I've gotten a little older and have began putting my interests first, I'm happier as a person and feel I'm succeeding more in life. Mean while being happier I can do more for the people around me and start to help with their needs and offering help when I can. I just see it as bailing out my own boat so I can help others with theirs when they need the help. I also feel exercise is important, no matter if you have an injury or not there is alternative exercises, it releases good endorphins and is good for mental and physical longevity. Cheers Clay

What a brilliant comment. Everyone, to some degree, cares about what others say or think about us, particularly when we are younger. I really like how you phrased this all bro.

Mark Twain got it exactly right (in my opinion) "Worrying is like paying a debt you don't owe". I try hard to avoid worrying.

worrying has its place. It drives us to problem-solve. Its chronic worry that is poison to us. I love reading Mark Twain stuff. I grew up reading Twain. I hope you are keeping well Gerry.

Well said Clay. We need to look forward to making mistakes. In the 1920s, a journalist asked Thomas Edison how it felt to fail 1000 times in his attempt to invent the incandescent lightbulb. He replied, “I didn't fail 1000 times. The lightbulb was an invention with 1000 steps.”

They have found that when you do something you dont want to do, a part of the brain grows (forgotton the name of the part which grows) But it makes you more resilient. Good podcast with Huberman david goggins explains it.

Gidday Clay. Please tell me, when hanging from the tree doing pull-ups. Do you vary your hand position. I'm unable to hang because of a shoulder injury. Have been pulling on my exercycle varying the hand position. Feeling the painful spots. How long did it take to see a change? This is the one thing I dislike. Sooner cycle the 250km a week for the knee replacement 😂😢 Cheers Bruce

Number 1 rule is do not injure yourself Bruce. If you have an injury I would be seeking professional advice on how to build strength there and move forward. I also have a shoulder injury and I started off very slow first doing it with my feet on the ground and building up very slowly.
