I like Garver but he has had some up and down years. And Raley hasn’t had enough successful playing time in my eyes to be a sure thing if that makes sense. It would take a lot for them to finish below .500, and I just wanted to be bold with some of these.

I really like the mariners and it would take quite a bit for this prediction to come true. I am just a little bit more apprehensive that they are better now than they were last year. Polanco has missed quite a bit of time the last few years. Raley had a good year, but can he repeat it? Will Mitch Haniger be able to produce again, and will we get the good version of Garver? I'm just saying that it's a slight possibility and that I have questions. I'd absolutely love to eat my words. And I also am a little salty that their ownership won't spend money.

there is absolutely no chance that you are saying both the Nats have a winning record AND the Phillies have a losing record. I actually think the Phillies win more games than last season and the Braves are the team that regresses. Yes a lot of the Phillies core is aging BUT they haven’t shown a single sign of regression yet and I don’t think it will start this year. the Nats are an intriguing team and I definitely like the direction they are headed, but they definitely don’t have enough pitching depth to get through 162 games and have a winning record yet. I will say that I could see them winning like 75-80 games though.

Haha I had to be a little bit bold there! I think it’s extremely unlikely that it happens. I think the Phillies are a very good team. The back end of that rotation is a little bit slept on. And the bullpen has very much improved with her hoffman’s surge and kerkering looks amazing. It was really hard to convince myself that it was a possibility when making this video. Braves regressing is certainly a possibility. There’s just really no where to go for them at least when it comes to the lineup. It will be almost impossible to repeat or do better than they did last year offensively. I’m a Braves fan so I’m trying to temper my expectations lolol. I agree about the Nats pitching depth. That was the part that I was having a hard time convincing myself about when making this video.

Not saying I agree with him, but I'm willing to bet you would've said the same thing last year if he predicted the Cardinals to finish under .500 and the Reds to finish over. The season NEVER goes the way everyone expects. Again, not saying I agree with him, but never say never. Wackier things have happened

Definitely wrong about the Mariners. Their lineup is a lot more consistent than it was last year. I really really miss Kelenic but Jorge Polanco, Mitch Garver, and Luke Raley are alright names, but they're able to keep the lineup moving along whereas last year it was really up to only 1-4 to produce runs. We only have 1 true 9 hitter and the rest can make things happen and the offense will be a lot better than last year. Plus the pitching will be insane as expected.

I better be wrong about them haha. I want to see them in the playoffs again. I didn’t watch too much of the Mariners last year. I love the pitching. And I’m glad you feel like the lineup is better. Hopefully those guys like Garver and Polanco can have good years. Also…got to see Logan Gilbert live in 2022, BIG fan

In my opinion, if the bottom half of the Mariner's lineup plays well...they could absolutely end up winning it. Their rotation is one of the best in baseball from top to bottom.

Yeah, as a Cubs fan, I agree on Morel. He’s super powerful and pretty underrated imo. He’s gonna be turning heads this year for sure

Like the video but the rays take is crazy considering they have Junior in the shadows along with an already stacked lineup with multiple top 10 guys at their positions not to mention an elite bullpen and good rotation. Also Bieber has increased his fastball velo over the offseason he threw 11 fastballs over 93 in 2023 and had 10 alone in a Driveline bullpen. He’s going to bounce back if anything

I would be shocked if the M's finish under .500. Both their rotation and bullpen are some of the best in the league, and their lineup really isnt that bad. In fact it's much better than last year. Sure, they lost Teo, Suarez, and Kelenic, but they brought in Polanco and Garver, which fills their two biggest holes from last year (2B and DH), and also got Luke Raley in the OF. All 3 of those guys were better last year than the 3 guys they lost. Kelenic had a good start but quickly fell of, Geno really regressed in the power department, and Teo had an incredible August but outside of that was pretty bad. Not to mention all three of those guys had massive strikeout problems. I think the guys we brought in are gonna be much more reliable. Not saying the lineup is gonna be amazing or anything but I think it's actually better than last year, and their pitching staff is arguably the best in the league.

This was one of the more far fetched ones for sure. Love the pitching staff, absolutely one of the best in baseball. Polanco is a great player, I just get nervous about his availability as he’s missed a good chunk of time the last couple years. Garver is great but has had some up and down years. Raley was great, but his track record isn’t super long. Now it is for sure possible that those three guys show up and have great years. I’m just a little apprehensive about their lineup if those guys have down years. To be fair, their pitching is likely good enough to overcome those three having “off” years. And I by no means think it’s an absolute lock that they finish under .500. It would take a lot for it to happen. And I certainly don’t want it to happen, because I really like the Mariners.

I can PROMISE you Nolan Jones won’t be the same player as last year. Don’t get me wrong, he will be a good player, but there is NO WAY he posts another season with a league leading BABIP well over .400. It’s just not possible.

I agree. I didn’t word what I wanted to get across very well. What I meant to say is that if you would have told me a couple years ago that Nolan Jones was The Rockies’ best hitter in 2024, I would have evaporated into a Force Ghost. It just sucks to see how that franchise has been run the past couple years. I’ve been to Coors twice and it’s an amazing place. They deserve to have a winning team there again soon.

Great video, Here's some of mine: Tigers win the Central Rangers miss playoffs Mariners win the WS Tatis wins MVP and goes 40/40 Bobby Miller will finish t5 in CY voting and is the Dodgers best starter this year Hurston Waldrep has a < 3 era in 15 starts for the Braves and finishes t5 in roy voting Bobby Witt Jr. goes 40/50 but finishes 2nd in MVP to Judge Judge stays healthy and breaks the AL HR record again with 65 homers

Big agree!! It always surprises me to look back at his numbers and see that he stole so many bases last year. If he stays healthy all year, I think 40 steals is a pretty safe bet. Gonna need him to improve at the plate against lefties as well though.

I absolutely agree with you there. The depth is a huge issue for the Nats, especially pitching wise. Would take A LOT for my Marlins/Nats predictions to come true.

The Royals were one of the most active teams in FA because they didn’t have the players in house to field a competent MLB team. The FAs they got were awful players. The Tigers also are getting overhyped for a team that still has holes in the rotation and only has 2-3 legitimate MLB hitters. Cleveland is winning that division, as they’ve got a great rotation, a very good bullpen, and the 1-5 spots in the lineup is the best top 5 in the division. Bieber won’t have a +5 ERA. He got his fastball back up to 93-94 at driveline, and he got his spin rate equal to his 2020 spin rates. He’s gonna be fine as long as he’s healthy.

I don't know if I can call Lugo and Wacha horrible, they will provide value in some way. I feel the Tigers may be getting overhyped, but Greene, Carpenter, and Torkelson took steps foward and are definitely MLB capable hitters, along with some others. I absolutely love Cleveland's rotation and bullpen, I wish I had more confidence in their lineup outside of J-ram, Naylor, Gimenez, and Kwan. I am excited to see what Bo Naylor does as well. I did hear that Bieber went to driveline and I wish I knew that before making this lol, even though it would still be kind of a longshot without driveline. But I'm pumped about that and am excited to see how deep that rotation. I do think it is unlikely that The Tigers win the division or the Royals have a winning record...but I think it's going to end up being a lot closer in that division than many people think it is.

Love the bullpen! I do think Lopez, Ryan, and Ober are a very good 1-3 in that rotation. I actually saw Ober pitch in person last year, and he looked great! I’ve heard good things about Varland too. Who do you think rounds out the back of that rotation?

I think the A's will be better than expected. Not good by any means, but I wouldn't be shocked if there's two or three teams that finish below them. They have some solid young talent in the lineup with guys like Zach Gelof, Brent Rooker, Ryan Noda, and Estuary Ruiz.
