Really nice work, David -- I just bought your book/CD, and am excited to be implementing it into my 5/6 general music classes. By the way, you and I both got to work with the mighty married duo known affectionately as "Nick & Joyce". While I may have several years on you, we can both say "Go 'Canes". Good luck to you :-)

Hi, Does the Hi 5 using the left hand of one child and the right hand of the other child not confuse them as they are practicing different sticking pattern on different hands to what you are teaching them. Would it not be better if one child Hi5 with the left hand to the left hand of the other child? So that they are learning the same sticking pattern.

I usually just leave stickings up to the students. Some will use opposite hands, others same hand. It usually doesn't confuse students, they sort it out on their own.
