Hoy volví a ver esta increíble película, y volví a llorar como el primer día en que la conocí , es súper recomendada ... No todos los finales terminan con fueron felices para siempre. Siempre me sorprenderán Los finales inesperados aquellos, en que las fibras de tu corazón y alma , te erizan y no puedes dejar de pensar en el porqué tenía que terminar así....

"I love you, Dexter. So much. I just don't like you anymore." *My favourite quote from the whole movie.* It really depicts how people change over years and friends are no exceptions. Only after you have met all the wrong persons in your life, that you realize right person was with you along. But time may be inexpensive for some, it's indeed priceless for most of us out there. He lost her, and in return learnt to respect and love one decent person in his life. Movie and book has so many morals and it's truly amazing how these two characters were written with so much precision and yet clumsiness. Important message was life always pulls you in opposite direction but happiness can be found in a single moment. While Emma realised it early, Dexter took almost half his life to realise the same and that's why the happy ending in their palms slipped away like sand, leaving Dexter mourn forever over Emma's death and maybe learn to appreciate and be happy with the person he had in life from the beginning, rather than running after superficial people who never even made to the second phase of his life. But then again, it's easy saying it then doing it, and mostly all of us are on the same boat as Dexter though we may not realize it now. Though we are not thoughtless and immature than Dexter was, we can't deny the reason we relate to this movie is because it depicts somewhere bits and flashbacks of our own lives. And we are bad at expressing our feelings, deciding what we want, why we want, afraid to say it aloud to everyone and in the end are suffering with regret, guilt, desire to turn back time and desire to have those missed opportunities come back to us so badly!

This movie was a gem. I think it broke me. I sat there and cried and cried. What a beautiful love story. The soundtrack only makes it more magnificent. Rachel Portman is a genius.

One day has been my favorite movie for years. Every time I hear this song I think of my grandparents who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. I remember seeing them lying in bed next to each other looking at the window and asking each other how the clouds look like castles. Love is not just kisses and saying "I love you", love is supporting and being present in good times and bad.

This soundtrack is pure magic

Es una bellísima película con una bellisima banda sonora. Es la profunda ironia de saber que luchaste tantos años por hacer que el vinculo funcione y fluya, atravesando todo tipo de obstáculos y cuando finalmente logran unirse, la vida de Em se termina. Destino? Azar? Decisiones? Lo que valen son los momentos que sí pudieron compartir a pesar de que el cuento de hadas no haya tenido el final de cuento de hadas. Y eso lo vuelve más real, más creíble, más humano... Amo esta pelicula.❤

Realmente es una historia de amor muy bonita y real, el final muy triste... En una relación como la de Ema y Dex veo parte de mi historia de vida, nos enamoramos el primer día que nos conocimos lo ame siempre e idealice, nos separamos y hoy en día nos hablamos por teléfono y sabemos que nunca en nuestras vidas volvimos a ser felices.... No hace falta que muera él protagonista de una pélicula para sentirse identificado con ésta bella historia de amor!!!..... Hay amores que nunca se olvidan porque en una parte de nuestro corazón siguen viviendo....

Que historia mas bonita, mas real, mas triste. Hay amores que no se olvidan, hay otros que no se superan.

Es una de las películas más lindas que he visto, Em amando siempre a Dex a pesar de todo, de las adversidades que los separaron, ella con un amor puro hacia él y bueno quizás igual puro de él hacia ella, pero como dicen siempre hay uno en una relación que ama con más locura que el otro, y no es que el otro no ame, es solo que uno idealiza más. Lo único peor es el final, tan triste (Al menos para mí) pero así son algunas historias con finales tristes no todo es felicidad en la vida.

We talk as friends but not as lovers. He still doesn't know that I love him. I wish I have the courage to tell him that I love him after all those years. :-(

As a huge fan of Anne Hathaway I had to see this film. I do believe it was her second role as a british woman and her accent was flawless. It was surprising to see that the film didn't make a big "fuss" and it was barely advertised, which is a pitty because we're not talking about yet another over-romantic/lame story. This is a perfect example of a romance and though I haven't read the novel, the film was beautifully accomplished. The soundtrack encapsulates, without a doubt, the depth of their relationship and, spoiler alert, their unfortunate ending after such a struggle.
