While you’re in Bangkok, don’t miss the out-of-this-world Erawan Museum, which is housed in an enormous three-headed elephant statue. Then view the city from on top of Wat Saket, a Buddhist temple, and ring the bells for good luck. If you have 24 hours in Bangkok to spare, save some time for a teak boat adventure and float through the market canals, and later take a peek at the Democracy Monument.
