We spent one day in beautiful Strasbourg France! and found 13 amazing things to do and where to eat!
Strasbourg France is an incredible town located in Alsace on the German border. In this video we share our top things to do and places to eat if you're going to spend the day - or a couple of days - in Strasbourg!
Here are some of the activities and places we recommend:
1. Visiting the Cathédrale de Notre dame de Strasbourg
2. Seeing the Astronomical Clock
3. Climbing to the cathedral's viewing platform
4. Strolling the Grand Rue
5. Exploring Petite France, including the covered bridges, and Vauban Dam
6. Grabbing a café au lait at Cafe Bretelles, or Fou d'Cafe, or Bloom

best food I had in France was at the mall in Strausburg, the center commercial rivetoile, Jeff de Bruges. I had a chicken spatzel soup thingy that was literally the best tasting thing I've had in France.

Great job, guys! All of that in 1 day! Wow! I was fortunate to spend a week there (pre-pandemic) so I know how well you covered this city! I didn't even get to climb the 300+ steps in the Cathedral.

I still remember watching the Hunchback of Notre Dame, that Cathedrale is beautiful. That Astronomical clock is incredible! The view is amazing, I would love to visit this town. Nice stop at the Cafe Brant! Awhh I love the cocktail!!

There are many Notre Dame :) there's Notre Dame de Paris, and Notre Dame de Strasbourg which are two different cathedrals in two different cities.

Ok. English speaker have a hard time to pronounce berg. And burg. Berg means mountain. And burg means castle...so berg gets to be borg and burg almost the same...ch is also difficult. It's always. Ick...like in sprecken...gute nackt...etc. hard to speak the very soft ch...sprechen....

You should visit some villages near starbourg, villages aren't pretty, but have alot of history. Edit : for example my village has a catholic church built in the 1300's hundrends.

Thanks Julianna! The cathedral really is incredible, definitely worth checking out. We were there in October and thought it was a great time to visit. There weren't as many people and the weather made for really good walking - though a little wet at times. The colours around town were also very lovely. Our trip was three days long which we felt was pretty close to perfect. One day might feel a little short as there are quite a few things to do and places to eat - and its worth it to see the cathedral more than once for sure. :) Let us know if you have any more questions! A good place to start for info might be the Visit Strasbourg tourist site. It includes info on a Strasbourg City Card. Their website is: www.visitstrasbourg.fr/en/welcome-in-strasbourg/ We we’re also able to find some info for an Alsace pass here: www.civitatis.com/en/strasbourg/pass-alsace/ There are also some really informative blog posts you can find online with people sharing their experiences and providing some links. It was probably a muskrat. They are an invasive species in Europe from America and they have them in Prague too.

Please be aware that Strasbourg should be pronounced ‘Strass-borg, not Strass-berg.

Englisch speaker have a problem with berg....meaning mountain...they say. Borg...englisch....es ist BERG...NOT BORG....and also with burg. BURG us a castle....and they cannot or will not say U. U. ..so it s also kind of both...say cannot say ch. Either say will say ICK. Spreacken...nackt...the soft ch is harrd for for them....
