ONE DAY in LOS ANGELES: travel vlog | Top things to see in LA | USA road trip & travel vlog
In this video, we will show you how to spend one day in the iconic city of Los Angeles! We hit many of the main attractions of the area, so if you only have one day or less, look to add these places to your one-day or weekend Los Angeles itinerary!
We left Atlanta super early in the morning; I think our flight was at 7:00 AM with Delta. Eventually, we landed at LAX at around 9AM. These activities are perfect if you happen to have a long layover in LA as well.
First, we picked up our rental car (we rented from LAX Sixt). We then went to Venice Beach. Parking here at venice beach was a bit challenging and expensive, so we parked where there was a 2-hour limit, but it was a bit more affordable. While we were at Venice Beach, we had a bit of a picnic and ate our In-N-Out, and then we had a bit of a photo shoot on the rocks at Venice Beach.
After that, we drove from Venice Beach to Santa Monica Pier, which was only about 10 minutes. At the Santa Monica Pier, we got really lucky and found quick parking right next to the pier. On the pier, we walked around quite a bit enjoying all of the different sites and vendors. We ended up going to the amusement park on Santa Monica Pier, Pacific Park, and we ended up riding the roller coaster here called West Coaster.
Eventually, we left the Santa Monica Pier and headed over to Beverly Hills, specifically the Beverly Hills sign. Also, if you have ever wanted to visit the streets lined with palm trees, Beverly Hills is this iconic place.
After Beverly Hills, we drove across LA to go to Little Tokyo. I don't remember the exact restaurant, but it was a japanese restaurant in the mall, and we had some very good authentic udon noodles.
After visiting LA Little Tokyo, we went to our hotel, which was the Loews Hotel in Hollywood (Loews Hollywood Hotel) at Hollywood & Highland. This place was great because it was right on Hollywood Boulevard. Because it was within walking distance from Hollywood Boulevard, so we went to walk down the Hollywood walk of fame a couple of times.
The next morning, we walked Hollywood Boulevard one more time before heading out to our next destination on our California road trip, Sequoia National Park.
To add one more thing, at the end of our road trip, we went to the LA County Art Museum (LACMA) Urban Lights exhibit to take some cool pics.
What the rest of our trip looked like: after LA, we went to Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, and Yosemite National Park.
