Ivan, I grew up in the country in Hawaii and had to do many of the same tasks as you. It brings back pleasant memories of my youth - even scraping down rafters where chicken roost and cleaning out after the cows and horses. Most of our youth in America have very little idea of what it takes to put food on the table. If we didn't do our job, we didn't eat as well. Too bad life for many of us is nologer tied to the Earth. I watch these videos and after I feel like I've been through a meditation session! No comment, no conversations or hardly, just the grunts of the pigs, the moo of the cows or the cackling of the hens, and the sounds of the landscape and those of this young guy working. Very soothing.

I thank you for producing the videos. It is refreshing to see someone as young as you are living the life you are happy with. And caring for animals that need attention and love. And you use tools that are of historical significance -- using them currently. I once had some similar tools and used them as well as they were (are) extremely affective to day as in the past. And you are living in a very beautiful place .

Wow, this is what I call real living, where you get up and do jobs to help out with the family, whether it be doing daily chores, or planting crops to grow food, it's a meaningful lifestyle that some of us have forgotten. Instead, we focus more on materialistic things such as money, buying expensive goods things to keep up with our friends and colleagues, what we wear and what we look like and then posting it online to social media..... We could really learn a lot from you and your family's example. Thanks for allowing us to see what your life is like, its really refreshing to see. Hi. I noticed that your cows are always inside your barn. Why don't you let them graze outside so they can eat fresh grass? Cows love to graze around fields and your grass is very fresh it will give them exercise as well unlike being confine inside the barn always. 🙂

I'm a farm boy who is very grown up at the age of 75. I have never seen animals pined as you have the cows and the pigs. The cows are chained all day, and never get out. Why do you not have even a small pasture for them to be out in the day time? I don't understand. All we ever fenced in were the chickens. Yes, in the winter they were more sheltered but we never changed the cows, not even for milking.

Aquí en España(salamanca)para cortar hierba en esas zona, utilizamos un hozino(es una herramienta pequeña,en forma circular,es más manejable. Me gustan las flores,pero son de temporada,allí no hay rosales ? No se pueden sacar las vacas del establo ?hace yà buen tiempo ,para tener estabuladas. Estas grabaciones son actuales ? I enjoyed watching this video! In the winter when our cows were inside all the time we had to clean them, not so much in the spring as they were out in the field during the day and inside at night. In the summer they were outside all day other than when it was time to milk them. My Grandmother and my Mother both had lots of flowers around the houses, there was a lot of color during the spring through late fall. When I was little we raised a pig, but then we used to buy a pig from another farm nearby as it was easier, we didn’t have to worry about the pig digging under the pen. My Mother used to plant a large garden, she used to can vegetables and fruit from our orchard to have in the winter. We also had cool underground storage for potatoes, squash, onions and garlic. I used to have to pull the weeds in the garden. We had strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and black berries, all were good fresh, but were good in the winter too. Right now is strawberry time here and I have some every evening, try are so good. I grew up in the country, but after I went to college for engineering I moved near a city, I like the quiet of the country so much better.
