EQ section improved a lot, but it’s still not like a Helix DSP where you get 30bands of fully parametric EQ and import functions from REW too. Audison is still like 5 years behind! Then input/output routing is also limited. Lack of differential rearfill is a big thing for me too. Delay settings section again is classic Audison way, designed for kids, not for professionals. Everyone should just look at a Helix software with it’s features and then it all becomes clear…or not! 😃

The Equipment doesnt even matter, what would you get from knowing what equipment someone has? Anyone can slap together top of the line components and it might sound good or it might sound bad, its up to the magician to pull off the show

And records of cars they made exist on yt, yet its still all compressed media and capturing the true sound is impossible, im not defending peter or whatever, but i dont see the point of doing what you said

Does this mean that the audio contained in all those High-End and/or Hi-Fi demonstration videos is low resolution and therefore does not show the real sound quality? I visited KZfaq's audio file guidelines and it says the following... “[...] Supported file formats: (1) MP3 audio in MP3/WAV container, (2) PCM audio in WAV container, (3 ) AAC audio in MOV container and (4) FLAC audio. Minimum audio bitrate for lossy formats: 64 kbps. Minimum audible duration: 33 seconds, excluding silence and background noise. Maximum duration: none “[...]”. Therefore, KZfaq accepts audio files without loss of quality and audio files with loss of quality. So it all depends on how the audio was configured when uploading the file to KZfaq. If the user uploaded a high-resolution audio file to KZfaq and used suitable/professional microphones when capturing the audio/music; then the superior audio quality can be perceived by those watching the video and listening to the music; but as long as that person has very good headphones, that is, a headphone capable of playing/highlighting all the nuances of the music. For a bad, low-quality headphone, it doesn't matter if the music is originally a lossless file (WAVE or FLAC, for example) or if it is a file that has undergone compression (MP3, for example).

You expressed your opinion, and as a matter of respect and citizenship it is up to me to respect it, as you have every right to express what you think. But I think my opinion is relevant: I still think that knowing what equipment was used in the project is interesting, as this way we can research them for comparative purposes and also to be able to budget for an audio project for ourselves. But of course, it is up to the channel owners to decide whether or not they want to publish the list of used equipment, they decide whether to do this or not. Your recommendation is taken. I always talk about the equipment that was used, so you can gather the information if you pay attention. The whole point of Pssound videos is to focus on the importance of installation and tuning. As it was mentioned above, using the same gear in a different car, in different speaker applications may not yield the best results. You have to learn and understand the characteristics of different speaker locations and applications. Recording the sound can be misleading as you’ll never ever get the real experience like sitting in the car where you can distinguish stage depth, room information plus you can feel the music too. What you may need to understand that our priority is getting the job done and making sure the client is happy! In most cases we have no time left to do video recordings as the customer has to leave, they have long journeys to drive back home or it’s already way too late at the time of the day to spend another 30-60minutes to shoot videos of everything just to please followers on KZfaq! It’s an old design, one of the first well spread DSPs, but not it’s over 10year old. It has many issues & limitations. Things moved on so much, that i wouldn’t bother using it even if it’s sold cheap second hand. I would just get something like a Helix DSP.3S if 8ch are enough and have a solid tool to work with that gives everything you need.
