Hi there, I'm Eileen. For years, my summer outfits were mainly shorts and T-shirts. Those are some very comforting elements for sure, but I also appreciate some varieties. Recently, I added some of the cutest summer dresses to my closet. Many of these pieces actually look better in person, and certain pieces continue to grow on me more and more. This topic came at a right time for me. I'm checking out dresses for the past few days and I internally squealed that you also like the dress with tons of button in the front/back. I've been eyeing a similar dress but it has a different sleeve style. The one you showed in the video is more flattering! All of these dresses look amazing on you. We are the same weight and similar height so very helpful for me. I am guessing you aren't going somewhere very tropical to be wearing black silk by the beach (very hot & humid in most of SE Asia, the Middle East, etc.)- maybe Italy? The sea is too cold for me in Europe- I only go in the water in Italy and it's still cold. If you are going somewhere tropical- Seychelles & Bali have nice weather now. I personally love Phuket in June- before the monsoon but far less tourists. The seasons have shifted so you get sunny weather for longer this time of year. In the tropics, I might wear dark colors in a city during the day but only at night near the beach. It's too hot!

Hello Eileen, may I guess Italy or Greece? I also tend to wear mostly dresses in summer, then some flowy shorts when I need to be more practical. Even if I enjoy wearing black too, I avoid it during the hot and sunny days since it gives me a feeling of instant heat and I prefer dark colours in the evening after the sunset. As a mediterranean, I think it is quite a common habit here. By the way, I've loved the versatily of all the dresses you showed, they look gorgeous on you and I think you will have great use of them.

Lovely silk dresses. I love the light blue 👗 for summer (the shade never works for me though) and the last one (wrap dress) for the classic style that I expect to get the most wear from. Are you going to Spain?

I like skirts mostly for the versatility and wearability, seeing I can change up the tops for different looks. But comfort wise, I tend to prefer loose fitting dresses 😆❤️
