So good! AI voices can’t hold a candle to this type of classic narration! A lot of King’s anthologies have really good audiobook versions.

My favourite short story, thanks so much for putting the whole story up and not in parts, appreciate it, Salem's lot would have been my favourite book as a teenager, still read it from time to time!!

I listen to this over and over and over. I really don’t know why it brings me peace I listen to it before I go to sleep I think it’s because it brings me back to the day of Old.

I just finished the Salem's Lot audiobook (not for the first time!) and immediately came to listen to this. King has ruined fiction for me... I can't listen to anyone else's work with as much enjoyment!

I remember working in the Wirral and the local library was Bebington and I got this out on cassette in the 1980s. That’s how old the story is and it was read by the inimitable Ed Bishop. And this is the very same story and the writer.Thank you so much for uploading.

Yep! Fantastic, right? Even the best AI readings are weird and can’t get the inflections or sounds right. Makes me appreciate this even more. Good old fashioned voice talent is rare these days.
