This comment is in response to antis when they say ‘Larries always have to relate their music to Larry and don’t appreciate the song’ so feel free to ignore this as I’m just ranting? I like to relate Louis’ and Harrry’s songs to Larry because for me it helps give the song so much more meaning. I have never been in a relationship, with how my life is going rn it seems pretty unlikely too, so I have nothing really to compare Love/heartbreak songs to. I have no personal connection to Habit, Always you, Two Ghosts, I know they’re great songs but if there’s no meaning behind them it makes the songs feel less powerful. Take Niall Horan’s songs, absolute masterpieces, but at don’t connect to them, sure they sound great but they honestly don’t stand out from other songs I’ve listened to. Louis’ songs always have such a deep meaning in them which make them powerful and stand out, and when I listen to them I hear a story, it doesn’t necessarily have to be Harry and Louis but they’re the characters I personally see in the story he’s telling. Music and stories are ultimately up to the audience interpretation (e.g. Hogwarts or Harry Potter is a LGBT icon despite the author not being), the interpretation may not be the one designed but when it’s out there it’s for the people to make a decision on what they want it to stand for. I like Louis’ songs for what I believe is a story about a same-sex relationship having to fight for the one they love and to be who they are until they’re are free to be themselves and not have to hide anymore, you may think of a different narrative and that’s what’s so great about music as it’s so versatile and can be personal to people in so many different ways as different lines hold a different weight to everyone. Louis is the one that told us “People can believe what they want to believe” (in relation to Larry rumours too), and Harry told us he wouldn’t want to tell anyone their interpretation of a song is wrong, so just let people believe and enjoy a song how they want, as long as they’re enjoying it, there shouldn’t be a problem, especially when both Louis and Harry have said it’s okay for people to believe/interpret songs as they want. If you don’t believe in Larry that’s complete okay, if you think that Larries ruined their friendship then that’s also okay as you’re allowed to have your opinions, jut don’t be mean to others because neither Harry or Louis would want that for anyone even fans who are Larries. Louis actually made someone apologise when they called “Larries delusional”, so even if they’re not together they still want you to treat everyone with kindness and if you really want to show Larries up, show you’re better, not worse by thinking you have the right to bully people because of their beliefs. This comment was completely pointless, I just wanted to rant.
