I can't believe how Theo has become my favorite character after the trio!! I find myself looking forward for his scenes in every episode. Actually, his "silent" episode in S1 was so poignant and beautiful to me, one of my favorites. Such a multilayered, endearing character. I also love his chemistry with Mabel 💗Are the writers gonna serve us a nicely done, slow burn romance maybe? Ahh!! James Caverly is such a sweetheart too!

Can we sign a petition or something 😂 because not having Theo as a love interest just because he’s deaf is crazy. He has the most natural chemistry with her, understands her, suits her personality even as he’s sort of the kind, soft soothing silence she needs in her chaotic life, she’s always rambling when she’s with him even though she’s quite introverted, pushing people away most of the time. They complement and complete eachother. And even though he can’t hear, for some reason when he’s with her it looks like she radiates sound. I absolutely love them. All those other “love interests” felt like filler to me. And we certainly and definitely do not need a reference to the woke movement in which Mabel ends up with no one because she’s a strong independent woman😂

I don't think it's because of Theo being deaf. He (accidentally) killed her childhood best friend, Zoe. Oscar went to prison. His father and him treated Tim and that alienated him even further from Mabel, because he did not defend Oscar. There's trauma there and a constant reminder of how her life fell apart. I don't deny the chemistry or how good that familiarity or balance of characters/ personality, But there's a giant obstacle.

@@FashionistaStreet Not to mention Oscar could return which I hope he does would like to pay Theo "a visit". If he wanted to F up Tim Kono I can't imagine what he wants to do to Theo who killed (accidentally) his girlfriend and Theo's dad "convinced" Tim to blame it on Oscar. Even if the romantic feelings between Oscar and Mabel, I'm pretty sure Oscar doesn't want Mabel to end up with Theo.

I am a huge Shadowhunters fan, but I also love Only Murders in the Building. I watched every episode from these two shows. I am SO suprised (in the good way) that Katerine McNamara (lead actress of Shadowhunters; used to play Clary Fray) is here. I did not expect that!

In season 3: 1)theo was helping mabel pack her stuff 2)theo and mabel were making jokes calling each other nerds 3) mabel learned sign language 4) mabel was living with theo after her leaving her aunts apartment. seriously writers just make theo-mabel a couple in s4.

Theo's comeback is too forced and I'm not sure why people seem too like him. Mabel's love insterest is the least interesting thing about the character and the show. This feels sexist and unnecesary

I kinda agree with you. She already has a love interest in each seasons. Does she need it once more ( with two love interest ) ??, I'm not sure. I just find their friendship really cute and I like Theo being back. I'm still waiting for the interest of the relationship between her and Tobert though
