It is indeed. I've been so on the fence about selling it for so long. It was sad to see it being ridden away by the new owner but I'm glad it's over and done with now.

Not gonna lie, I want another Scrambler but they seem to have increased in value a bit since I sold mine.

I may be slightly biased on this one, but the GPZ 500 is a good choice for a cheap commuter bike. Best to find a late model from around 1998-2002. They are easy to maintain, no computerised things to deal with, no ABS either. The brakes in general do have a bad rep. If you get one of the last models, they had twin front discs, so should be a lot better. My one had a single front disc, I changed the rubber brake lines to braided lines which helped a bit. The more noticeable difference for me was switching from standard GG pads to HH on the front (no point on the rear brake as they are not much good anyway). They made it feel more responsive. They are quite old bikes now, so will probably suffer from most issues of older bikes. Expect to need wheel bearings and headstock bearings replacing and probably carbs will need servicing. These have a manual choke, so if you have to manage that until the bike is warmed up especially on cold mornings. If you find one with the dual exhausts, their weak spot is in the link pipe underneath, they rot through, so a stainless exhaust is a worthwhile upgrade I had the Delkevic 320mm road legal system on mine. I'm sure Destination Triumph would take a look. Alternatively, I've been using Billy's Motorcycles in Pulborough, West Sussex. From what I've just read, this is a common fault and some Tigers of that era were recalled to have the necessary parts replaced. May be worth looking into to see if your VIN is one of the affected ones and if you can get a Triumph dealer to do the work if the recall is still valid.

I think mine has just failed on me today. Was going along, slowing for traffic and lost the ability to change down gears! I'll be investigating this and see if it's an easy fix or not.
