Hi Natalie, I think I prefer the smaller card all round , but I do agree with you that the definition on the tag is nicer on the big card. It’s a fab idea cutting out and placing all the alphabet letters on the tag. I would never have thought of that! So thank you for yet another great idea. Have a lovely day. xx

Great add on to the alphabet collection for card making! I love the smaller seized card, but I prefer the tag from the larger card. Also about arranging the letters without making offending words; I may or may not know someone I wouldn’t mind sending a card with accidental offending words… LOL!! Another fun way to use alpha dies. I really like your technique & was glad you showed your process laying down the different inks & wax on what became the tag. I also like the tag on the larger card better, but prefer the slightly smaller one overall. TFS -Sarah

Morning, Natalie. I love both cards, but I agree with you that both have their own merits. I think the smaller card would benefit from a little more variation of colour just like the larger card, but both cards are brilliant and you do it with such ease. I like your idea of spelling out a word, maybe as you have used the word 'hello' that would work. I still have to play catch-up with yesterday's video! Oh and I have ordered some gilding wax! x

I prefer the smaller card. I think that the tag on the larger looks a bit lost. Both of the tags look beautiful, love how you built up the layers. Something I wouldn't have thought about was the glue/non glue areas and how it would take the ink differently.

Love the texture of the tags and both cards are fantastic! I think each is perfect in their own way - the larger cause of the more varied colour panel and the smaller cause of the stitched panel and the size - its a win win! Thank you. xxx💖💖💖

This is such a great idea, Love it, I also think the smaller card base with the pinkish tag made in this video is my preference. I made a tag a few months ago and covered the entire tag with small Oak leaf die cuts which I cut out of card smooshed with a combo of reddish, brown and sage inks, it is still one of my favorite tags. This technique is so awesome, creates so much texture, very tactile.😍

I think the smaller card has better proportions, plus I'm a sucker for green (I'm not a pink fan). The timing of this video is perfect as I've just spent a session cutting out tags.... And wondering what I could do with the big ones.

This works beautifully as a very dimensional background and I am thinking of many small die cuts that I could use as well as the letters. I wanted to mention to you that I have purchased some of the newer glues (one is in a pink and white bottle and one is in a green and white bottle). I never have this issue with the paper looking funky from the opposite side when glueing two pieces of paper together. These glues set up quite quickly so I'm thinking they don't have as much water in them.

I’m totally with you today, obviously I love both cards and tags, but I love the first tag slightly more with that hint of pink and I do love the smaller card but maybe if the other had a stitched rectangle and you had centered the tag on the first it would be equally lovely ❤

I just love this card. Perfect for a man's birthday. I was intrigued that you were talking about cleaning the card of fingerprints afterward. How would you do that? I m fairly new at this and get prints everywhere and just figured you had to live with any fingerprints you made.

Thank you! :) If it's just a bit of sticky glue, let it dry then remove it with a regular eraser. If it's ink, let it dry and gently remove it with a sand eraser. Sometime, I use a babywipe if I think the colour will lift easily and not pill the paper.

This was really interesting and informative. I loved how they turned out. How do you decide when to house a glue dauber vs. glue spread on the table top?

Thank you! :) It depends on what's most convenient and how delicate a die cut is. For really delicate die-cuts that might tear, I tend to use a dauber.

Yes I agree as well, I would prefer the lighter tag on the smaller card with the whiter flourish but they both look great. Is there anything other than Gesso you can use as I don't have any of that to hand?

Thanks! You could try a gel medium or maybe some watererd down glue. You might find you don't need anything - try some test pieces and see how the ink sits on top. :)
