This is a complete revision of the One Must Fall 2097 theme song from 1994. Feeling nostalgic one day, I went on KZfaq and searched for One Must Fall. To my surprise, I've found a lot of positive comments and remixes to my OMF2097 songs. That was when I decided to 'reconstruct' the theme song as a weekend project for everyone. Enjoy!

Dude, I would like to thank YOU, for the countless of moments of pure fun we STILL have with friends both listening to OMF2097 soundtrack and playing the actual game. The music really did the game. Seriously, whenever I meet with one of my nephews we play OMF soundtrack from KZfaq and discuss which track is the bestest (sic!)! btw. I like the 'Desert' theme perhaps the best.

That song as intro. Our guy entering the arena. Getting story clues here and there before and during fights. And secret challengers that are frkng tough. Because they tie in to the story. Everyone has their story why they participate. And a greater scheme that has been running for years behind the scenes. A plot to be uncovered that ties all the stories and the story of our unsuspecting hero and challenger together and it ends up with a fight against the instigator of all the battles and why the robots were actually made.

Often when I'm about to do something with a degree of competition - for example, in an hour or so I'm about to head out to play some indoor volleyball - this song gets stuck in my head while I'm pumping myself up. And I'm back 6 years later. Listerning to the theme while - incidentally - pumping myself up, and had to do my every-couple-of-years playthrough of the tournament mode. Still love it. Even if it's gotten to the point now where it's just a little bit too easy (honestly, having the Jag as the starting mech is nuts; it's so damn good!).

Love this reconstruction, Mr. Chow. OMF and this theme is a big staple of my childhood. I remember making a MIDI recreation of your song on an AWE 64 way back in the day. Thanks for the good ole nostalgia.

@wangm3ist3rG I remember listening to my first .mod, then finding out how to create my own. All I did after school was rush home to work on tunes. I actually found a disc with most of my early stuff. They were some shitty ass songs, but oh... the memories they produce. :]

Ha ha I remember tinkering around with tracker music and all those samples back in the early 90s, too bad I lost all of those files. Generally it wasn't too special, some tracks were outright atrocious, but some melodies indeed were nice and now are lost to me :I.

I remember playing around with music using a commodore 64. At the movie theater a bit of music preceeded the movie. Using adr, I recreated that sound from using the computer!

Correction: ADSR vice adr. Forgot about sustain. Well, it has been around 40 years since I last thought about it.

Thank you so much for adding a distinctive theme and feel to my childhood! I LOVED and still love your OMF theme song. It just reminds me of... so much! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Btw, the reconstructed one sounds neat too!
