Yes, if the ports were fired up through the rear deck and the truck was sealed off separate all the pressure would be focused in the cabin.

That is incorrect sir. The part that gets hot is the voice coil. There is no glue on it. It is coated in a high temperature epoxy. When this epoxy gets hot it first starts to outgas. It's a normal chemical change that fully cures the epoxy. Most subs outgas when heated and then it goes away now requiring even hotter temperatures before it outgasses again. Experienced users know the coils are getting dangerously hot when they smell them and they turn the power down to help them cool off. Like with anything, if you don't know how hard to push it, you can accidentally go too far. Some people don't reduce power when they smell the coils and then it can overheat. The epoxy lets loose and the coils unwind.

@@JasonWW2000 Epoxy is a form of glue. You melt and outgas the epoxy enough it will fail. Tell me more about how overheated voice coils don't utterly and mechanically fail when exposed to enough heat that you can smell the glue.

@@JasonWW2000 The ports definitely sealed off from the cabin. Just bc you haven’t put sealer on it dosent mean it’s not sealed off Why in the world would you fit the port anywhere other than into the cabin Don’t make sense

@@ShadeTreeSplI don't think you looked at the rear deck. He has 3 large holes in the rear deck to let the bass through. I believe he is loosing pressure and energy by running the ports into the trunk instead of pointing then up and through the rear deck. That would be more efficient. Put all the pressure into the cabin. I think he ran it into the trunk just to be different. It definitely works, it's just loosing some efficiency.

I’ve floated bags out of a sealed trunk on a single 12 I get how it works How’s this He’s separating the port from the cabin since you take issue with sealed It’s almost like he didn’t want potential

Hands down clean and nice setup up but to much amp for just to subs a 10k or 12k would be plenty enough and they want last being on 17k and a half ohm killing them for sure.
