As a puertorriqueño who grew up in Brooklyn and one who’s always have been aware not only who Roberto Clemente was as a baseball legend but a true humanitarian this watch is the crowning piece to my collection, which includes his rookie year card and the card which changed his first name from Roberto to Bob .

Love this watch. I personally really enjoy the aesthetics of the Big Crown Pointer Date. Grail of mine. I always enjoy the history aspect of watches in general. That being said, some have more illustrious history compared to others. I think this watch is a great example of that. Nice video.

So cool. Clemente was such a great player who overcame being misunderstood and under-appreciated. That he was able to be a humanitarian example to us all makes his legacy all the more inspiring. Love the colors on this dial. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

The watch also comes with a Pirates color-matched nato strap. For an avid baseball fan whose dad used to take me to Shea Stadium when his favorite team (the Pirates) played my mom's team (the Mets), getting this was a no-brainer!

Great video, I had the privilege of watching two Puerto Rican Baseball legends play against each other, Roberto Clemente and Rico Carty, Rico won the batting Championship that year with a 390 average. That 1968 game featured three Hall of Famers, Clemente, Henry Aaron and Phil Niekro.

I think this is one of the best looking Oris watches in quite a while. I'm a baseball addict so that helps, but i'd love it anyway ( Go Yankees) ( kinda poetic that he had exactly 3000 hits eh?)

Oris has new in-house caliber 400 (5 day power reserve) and the first watch to get it is Aquis. I'm surprised this one still got the old Sellita. Still waiting for Artix line to get either 400 or better 110-114 caliber.. and then just take my money.

seem just a oris pointer date 7741 specifications but turned LE only. nothing spectacular if we not keen in the dial and marker difference but the price difference ....

Does this watch take performance enhancers like MLB players are allowed to ? Maybe it runs a little fast- great watch great man but yeah MLB these days . Last 30 years have been a shame

The world??? No one outside of the US has ever heard that name, and I doubt those 3000 watches aren’t 100% created for the US market only

Nice, but for a "vintage" style watch, far too large. 36-38mm would be where I would be happy, so a hard pass from me.
