That’s a great idea. How does it do cleaning it? Mud stick to it bad?

The fender liners are carpet to aid in sound dampening. The fuzzy carpet is supposed to dampen road noise. How well it works is debatable but thats why its there from the factory.

DoubleDeuce Reviews - that’s awesome to know! Well after driving it I notice zero sound difference. Thanks for the feedback, always good to know!

It's not so much for noise as it is for rocks, with metal fender liners rocks would dent, bounce off, and wreck them with any gravel driving. So they make them carpet to dampen the impact of the rocks, it saves the people around you from chips, your windshield, and your own paint job haha. Maybe helps a bit with noise too! But rock's are the main reason for carpet wheel wells.

I live 4 miles off a main road. The road to my house is rock. Like the driveway rocks. My Jeep is NOISY af with the rocks hitting inside the inner fender wells. My L5 is pretty much silent.

Yeah I actually like that upgrade quite a bit compared to the carpet line inner fenders and you are right it does trap every Pineneedle and everything else but I think it’s there for sound deadening awesome video awesome channel buddy

In the perfect climate they are probably nice, but if you use your truck for more than eye candy you will eventually have rust problems, my 3500 HD, which is a base model did not come with rear liners, the rear inner fender was actually painted body color, I stopped at Home Depot on the way home from dealer, bought a can of flat black paint, sprayed the rear inner fender, even the wife agreed it looked better, will likely give it a fresh coat every year
@bradleyhodges4512 жыл бұрын
You could paint that the same colour as your body wow that being mean I’m gonna get those

With that title, I thought it was an upgrade to the engine. I need to get me some of those Duramax L5P wheel well liners...

I made the mistake of buying those they cause premature truck bed fender rust. I'm a Michigan resident as well road salt gets up in the liner between the fender it comes in but you can't wash it out unless you remove the liners don't buy them.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Our experiences are not the same. Ran them on my last rig with zero issues. Not much snow in KY. And when it does I usually drive a different vehicle. Any way, I appreciate you watching!

Stupid question lol but are your rear shocks on upside-down?
@linksgarage19854 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Gomez- Shocks, no. U bolt plates on the leaf springs, sort of. Stock the nuts are on the bottom in factory applications. The plates and the U bolts provided from BDS with the lift, put the nuts on top on the leaf spring. Weird to me also.
@linksgarage19854 жыл бұрын

The entire frame is coated in some wax sealent
@thelouiebrand3 жыл бұрын
That’s not gonna work. Think about driving down salt filled roads. Melted snow is water… add salt and you will not be able to stop the salt water from penetrating EVERYTHING. I just got my new truck today. I live in Ohio. I plan on making a frame custom plug kit then this will be the top layer of protection.
@linksgarage19853 жыл бұрын
It will work for me. Because I won’t drive mine in that weather. Best of luck with your frame plug kit! Thanks for watching!
