There are lots of comments mentioning Technical difficulties from Race-X. Just to clarify, this riff was recorded in 1995, released in 1996 ( Album Holy Land) while the Racer-X one was released in 1999.

Angel's Cry and Holy Land are two masterpieces. Loved Holy Live too. The first Angra lineup had some incredible and talented musicians: Matos (RIP mate), Confessori, Bittencourt, Mariutti and of course Kiko. So much respect for them. Liked this instructional too. I am a drummer and in 1996 I was a teenager playing power metal with my band and my guitarist was struggling to find a way to play the main riff of Nothing to Say and had no clue how to do.. and in the main time I was struggling with the mind blowing drums intro. Jesus those were the years! (I can still feel the windy heights against my skin.. no, that's another album!🤣)

Back in the late 2000's my cousin gave me a CD with Kiko doing lessons on "young guitar" I think. The moment I watched it, I knew Kiko was on god-level. I never got into Angra (although I do like some of their songs and didn't know Kiko did solo stuff) but when I heard Kiko was joining Megadeth.. that was one of the happiest moments of my life. Presently I'm getting into Kiko's solo stuff. One of my top 3 guitarists! Why am I even writing this? I don't know. I just had to let it out.

I'm not even a guitarist but this was the first Angra song I listened to when a friend borrowed me Holy Land. I still remember the feeling while listening to it. I was a young teenager at that time and I have never heard anything like that before, it was overwhelming and it changed music forever for me. It's still my favorite.

"Learned" this riff back in 1998 with my first guitar teacher (a big fan of Kiko), after a year or so I was able to play it on time, but it was slightly different. Thanks for showing the right way to do it. By the way, this song kicks ass!
